He's been in pain on and off all day so i've just put him in a hot bath to try and ease it for him. We're now being told that he's constipated due to being on the wrong medication and that's what's causing the current pain. Odd because he's going to the toilet every day....sorry if that's too much information.
Probably TMI again, but you can usually work this out from (gentle) abdominal massage... and I can't remember whether you do reflexology, but if not maybe you know someone you could swap a treatment with, as it can be very effective for digestion (and just to add to the info overdose... I was told that most people have 4-6 partially digested meals in their gut ). If he hasn't been eating properly then he's probably got a bit of settling down to do with his whole system.
Does anyone have a recommendation for bathroom cleaning?

I am using the stardrops bathroom cleaner atm and I'm not that keen on it really. Just want something to bring up the bath, sink and tiles nice and shiny!
Elbow grease mostly . I use a cream cleaner once a week (use a green scourer the first few times if it isn't shifting), and then a spray (either vinegar & water or a bought one) after every shower and bath. If there's a ring on the bath because I was grubby/used oil then I'll deal with that using a cream cleaner (Ecover or Method) as soon as I notice it.

Was out for longer than expected - it was nice to have a social life and proper sunday lunch, but as usual it means there's lots I'd planned to do but haven't got round to! Managed to get the washing in, but it's a bit damp as it was out after it got dark, so it's having a few minutes in the TD or on the towel rail. I need to hoover the mattress (I'm not going to attempt to turn it at the moment) and make my bed.

I hope to be able to update my list a bit later. Otherwise, I'll see you over on the new thread!
  • mudders your poor boy, he has been through it. my DD1 suffered terribly with constipation, and we fixed it by switching from clear to cloudy apple juice.

sexymouse if you were a new teacher in my care and I saw your to-do list, I would say work-life balance I know you are up against it, because of some dimwits, but really, we would rather have you as a slightly less organised but happy teacher, than a burnt-out, frazzled ex-teacher. Build in some chilling time, please.

I know what you mean! The maths homework won't take long - I think only about 6 of my class actually bothered to hand it in! Think I'll leave the rising stars assessment until I'm in school as my assessment folder is there anyway.

Will just mark the last piece of work done in literacy and will catch up with the rest over the week unless I can get some done whilst watching the XFactor.

Wanted to clean the bathroom so that I could have a long soak in the bath, but the time is slipping by.

Going to put a timer on for 30 mins and see how much I can get done of everything - I'm losing my motivation now after hoovering all of the upstairs.

  • You are a human dynamo.

Have spent all weekend searching for a new (old) car. God has provided, though I wouldn't dream of praying about a car...my aunt is selling hers. Job done.

    argh

ages and ages ago I was given a new printer-scanner-photprinter BUT no software
I tracked it down online but hadn't got around to downloading it. Having promised DS he could have the old printer he suddenly decides to do it tonight. I told him to leave it until we're off school then I won't be stressed about the time and the new one doesn't really fit but oh no he knows better. Out it comes then he stops so a now cross Valli packs it back up to put away as it's cluttering up the lounge - work tomotrrow so I don't want additional avoidable stress on a sunday evening.
Upshot is I pick it up, to put the polystyrene on, bag tears. Printer drops and smashes...
    Marvellous.
Now in boot waiting to go to tip.
But prior to that an hour of him asking and me saying no, leave it until half term.
And I'm wound up like a watch spring now.
