Thursday ~ Study, Landing, Porch and other neglected bits!

    All done :D:D:D

Lovely DH kindly out up another set of coat hooks we we have room for all of them. Easier said than done given our solid stone walls :p.

Last year we bought some re-claimed doors (which have lived in our bedroom ever since ), we have spent this afternoon stripping and sanding one back and it is just lovely. Enough damage to show its age but not so much it looks shabby, looks lovely . Five more to go which will let us replace most of the downstairs doors with something more appropriate to the house.

    next task..

    Measure for carpet
dig wallpaper out to be stuck on tomorrow afternoon
    scrub and undercoat paintwork

tomorrow the proper paper will go on and I will be able to et the gloss done too hopefully...

Wednesday I can grab an offcut of carpet for in there as it is such a small room that shouldn't be hard and I have vertical blinds to go up so they'll just take minutes to do... THEN... DRUMROLL PLEASE....

I can fling her bed out of my room and reclaim some floor!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll just need to order her cupboards and desk from Ikea and she'll be sorted..though that may be a day trip for later in the week... how busy is it during school hours on a Friday/Wednesday?

  • Pigpen - just to say I find the easiest time at Ikea is Friday evening - no one there at all, if you could make it then. Any evening is good, but Friday is the best!
