It has made such a difference to him Toots. I wish we had done it sooner regardless of the cost. I hate watching him suffer and not being able to help (and he hates it when I do help so I have to be subtle). He sleeps a lot better to for not shifting round all the time, and because he isn't waking me up I am having less problems with my insomnia so a bonus all round.
Must get off my bum and get something done. We are having a halloween party for the littles so need to clear the ground floor of tools and materials, and generally make it toddler and small boy safe. I think a deep clean per ground floor room is in order! Starting with the downstairs loo. The toilet is currently outside so he can fit the floor tiles etc so I have given it a good scrub down while I have access to the bits you normally can't reach.
Also need to buy - a mop (this will be the first hard floor in the house!), a new loo roll holder, some black grout, some washable paint and a corner sink plus taps. I wonder how much there is in the loose change jar.....'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Ive spent most of the morning in the garden tidying it for winter. Its garden waste collection day tomorrow so will get that out. Just having a cuppa before I get started again. I need to refill the moisture collection containers. Then will put second coat on the damp patch. Hopefully will get new skirting on this week.

Hello everyone :hello:
I'm having a lovely Sunday..did a few chores this morning (could I have one more star please Toots/Soappie when you've time!), then the log delivery turned up, it took OH & me about an hour to shift & stack them all in the garage. They should last us through til March-ish time. I've made some big chocolate chip muffins and some fudgy chocolatey shortbready stuff. Its a bit like Millionaires Shortbread but without the proper layers.
Now we've got the woodburner lit & are chilling in front of the football for a bit!
Hope everyone else is having a good day too..

Afternoon all
Side tracked off my list by DH emptying the garage to put the new (old from Mum's bedrooms) carpet down in the garage which he has been painting. It is off the kitchen and used as a store room so not for a post car.
Hope to get on again later but if not enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll see you all on next week's thread. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
well so far today I have
planned a menu then wrote a shopping list
been to get the shopping, put it all away
hoovered downstairs
dusted downstairs
cleaned the kitchen (except for washing the floor)
put away the ironing
stripped the bed and washed the sheets/duvet cover (now drying so I can remake the bed once they are dry)
cleaned the corner of the carpet where my mad kitty insists on 'going' (would put a litter tray there but we'd struggle to get in the front door!)
now I am about to start my planning for school next week
catch you all later!Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0
