Barclaycard balance transfer applied for (fingers crossed it is approved), email to argos sent, buggy accessory sold. So far, a productive day considering we didn't get up until 11 as baby decided that he didn't want to sleep until 4am. Washing machine and tumble dryer are both on but that's unavoidable. OH is at work doing overtime.
Sorted out some paperwork, all now filed away neatly. Will tackle the ironing pile during strictly and X factor. Can't decide whether or not I am hungry at the moment. Appetite has been all over the place since baby arrived.0 -
Got up to date on Surveys again today, screened out of most of them but a few went through. Hoping to be able to cash out on GTM before Xmas, and get another VA voucher in the next month.
Listed some unwanted tickets on facebook groups and twickets, I won't make face value on them but anything I can get will be a bonus. They're also listed on viagogo.
Haven't left the house today as it's miserable outside, so today was a NSD.
Have backache, I assume from sitting up half the night with baby! It's OH's turn tonight.0 -
Balance transfer went through, so that's the credit card balance on 0% interest for 12 months! Payday today (feels weird saying that given that I'm not in work) so have paid off £160 which is the balance transfer fee (3%) plus £100. Had about £70 left from last month's wages.
Today was a NSD as well as we didn't leave the house! family are visiting tomorrow so hopefully another NSD.0 -
Woman on a mission today. Phoned sky, got 4 months half price sports and 12 months half price HD no new contract (so can still cancel at any time) so that's a good start. Then switched to fixed energy tariff same provider (using MSE energy club) saving approx £20 a month fixed until 2015.
Using up bottom of the fridge veg by throwing it all in the slow cooker with some stock, will cook up some lentils later and make veg lasagne out of it.0 -
loan payment went out today so total debt is now £6800. Glad to be under 7k, and the loan is now under 5k which is fab - over half way!0

Did a tesco shop, stocked up on formula and staples as had a £4 off £30 spend voucher.
Got an extra two portions out of the veg lasagne so they are in the freezer. Will make some veggie sausage rolls this weekend with some whoopsied pastry out of the freezer and some Granose meat substitute. Trying to eat more veggie food at the moment as obviously it's cheaper and I have lots of packet stuff to use up.
Everything has to be done in the hour or so between baby's feeds, which is a bit of a challenge but all a learning curve for me! Have been sleeping in of a morning so am a bit of a night owl now! Tending to lose track of days...
Did another couple of surveys yesterday so that was good. About half way to another VO voucher, and over half for GTM.0 -
not much spending this weekend or today - just popped into the village for some nappies and chocolate, all purchased with a fiver I found in my coat pocket!
No particular plans for this week so hopefully it should be a cheap and cheerful one.0 -
Had a quiet week, so treated us to a takeaway yesterday, used 20% hungryhouse voucher. Went into town yesterday, just got nappies which were on three for two at boots and also scanning at 70p less than the SEL. Have £20 on my boots card now which will be good for any last minute presents for Xmas (though I think we've got most people covered already).0

Our Perfect Prep machine has broken, so OH is going to take it back tomorrow after work - I'm minded to get him to ask for a refund as they are now reduced to £60 on Amazon (we paid £80).
Did an approved food order, mostly for 10 packs of 9 toilet rolls, looks like they are the same ones we've ordered before, last for ages and really good quality - figure 90 toilet rolls should last us ages! Also added some other bits and bobs, mostly cake mixes and the like, stuff which lasts ages and can be stored away. And lots of chocolate.
spend free weekend apart from that as I've barely left the house.0 -
Child benefit was paid today for the first time, baby timed his arrival well as it's paid Monday to Monday (so if born on a Tuesday it only gets paid from the week after) so with him being born on a Sunday we got a full week! It's the small things.
So, anyway, that will cover nappies and formula each month.
Small spend today, on lightbulbs, chocolate and crisps. The last two were not an essential, no, but I had found £4 in my winter coat pocket (yes, the winter coat is out!) so didn't affect the bank balance.
Need to open a bank account for baby. He's been given some money by relatives.
One of OH's work colleagues has given us a snow suit for baby which is fab as I was planning on buying one! Will keep him nice and warm when trekking round the park in wintertime.0
