Good to have you back Badpenny. NodebtDiva is doing incredibly well and we are both keeping up with the £1s each day.

Another win on BB with my bonus money today so will withdraw that and use it to pay off some debts :)
  • Welcome back Badpenny! We all fall off the wagon from time to time. This is a massive challenge that we've all set ourselves and we will fall off the track at some points, the important thing is to get back on track and re-focus.

Well done Novagirl on your wins - sounds like you're doing pretty well at the moment.

Went to finish my Christmas shopping yesterday and spent a little bit more than I would have liked but I'm still better off than I was this time last year!

It's just started snowing here, it looks so Chrismassy it's great! Got really good feelings about 2010 for us all - just think, we'll be even closer to being Debt Free this time next year.

    Have a good day x

    Morning all

Congrats to NDD for clearing 2 more accounts :T:T

I'm in the 'fell off wagon' camp with badpenny, my god I really shouldn't be allowed to have an internet connection, I'm too ashamed to say on a public forum how much money I spent on ebay the other night, it really is horrific....but I s'pose after the postman just delivered his entire van-full of stuff to me this morning this means that the kids will have presents

Next year will be different, I will forward plan starting from today

  • Morning - another £1 thrown at my debt!!

Jo1972, great to hear from you! On-line shopping is really addictive but I guess the young ones do need Christmas pressies!!

Anyway, it's not worth beating yourself up - Tis the Season to be Jolly!! Let's all have a great Christmas, not worry about money and then get back on the wagon from 1st January, fully refreshed and raring to go!

Anyone making any resolutions? One of mine is definately going to be to pamper myself a lot more. I figure that if I look after myself, then I'll be more confident, therefore more positive, therefore spend money for the right reasons rather than to make myself feel better!

Today is sunny and icy where I am - it's a fabulous day! We are going to wrap up warm later and meet my Mum and Dad for Sunday lunch - can't wait as my back is aching with all the wrapping I've done so far!!!

    Have a lovely day xx

Morning NDD, I've already started my new years resolution, to be organised and become debt free and to make sure xmas 2010 is paid for without denting my wages! Managed to get £80 in the pot for xmas 2010 already through Quidco and surveys just in the last 24 hours!!

Off to Mr T's now to get the turkey and beef for xmas day

    Speak to you later x

  • Hi Jo1972,

I'll definately join you with those resolutions. Working full time with 2 children under 5 is a nightmare (!) and I feel I'm constantly chasing my tail and always in a rush. I too would love to become organised and I desperately need to declutter my house (don't think I really need those cinema stubbs from 10 years ago :rotfl:).

And of course becoming debt free is my main focus, although I may not achieve that in 2010 but I would like to think that I will get rid of a lot of it!

I did save for Christmas this year and it's made a huge difference - I didn't miss the money during the year and have paid for EVERYTHING!! It's a fab feeling and I'll be doing that again for 2010.

    Enjoy Mr T's...

    See you later x

Wooo hooo for sub 13k! :D

My resolution will be to build up some savings for an emergency fund as I panic and then constantly worry if I have a bill coming up that I just can't afford.
I'm going to carry on with my little debts spreadsheet as I find it helps me to stay moivated and pay off little bits here and there.

We tend to do our Christmas food shopping on Christmas Eve ~ we aren't too fussy about what meat we have etc so tend to get alot of bargains :D
