Just a quick thanks to the OP, and to the rest for reviving this thread!
Made this recipe in my Panny yesterday and it is brill!
My bananas were a wee bit small, so I added 2 dessert spoons of leftover apple-sauce from Sunday dinner, partway through the mixing stage.
Had a quick peek at 45 mins and thought it was not going to be cooked properly (very anaemic on the top) but 10 mins later it was perfect!
Think this will be one of our fave BM recipes from, now on, so thanks again!

Its been a while since this was bumped and as my latest batch is baking away in the panny, I thought it would be a good idea to bring it back up to the top.
... whooosh!Peek-a-boo0 -
This sounds a great recipe, but I don't have a breadmaker.
If I mix the ingredients up by hand and bake in the oven, which temperature and for how long would I bake. I have a fan assisted oven.
Thanks0 -
Hmmm, that's a good one.
Got to be honest, I have no idea. The panasonic seems to cook really hot, so I'd probably try wacking the oven up to 230c and keep a piece of silver foil to the ready.
Unless of course someone else knows better...Peek-a-boo0 -
I tried this recipe last week and it was delicious. So I thought I would try and mix it up a bit last night, so instead of the two bananas I added to chopped apples and some crushed walnuts.
It turned out lovely, will definetly be making it again.
Has anyone tried this recipe with a reduced amount of sugar? everytime I have a slice of bread I think about the cup of sugar I put in the loaf and I feel really guilty:(0 -
