Thought I would phone the Telegraph first to see what they could offer so I could use the info when I phoned the Times. They said £5.35!!! I explained I was with the Times and they wanted £3, so I was thinking of changing, he said you best stick with them at that price!!!!
I then phoned the times and explained that someone had received an email offer of £2, he said it probably is a postcode offer or something. He couldnt alter the £3 though, so I said I would let my subscription lapse. He said maybe then I may get a better offer. We will see!0 -

neither the times (£4.50) or telegraph (£5.47) would budge from those figures as I had no previous history with them. Tried 1 against the other but not on the data base so no deal. Both nice people but no can do. Any answers?0

If you were going abroad for 2 weeks, say, they would extend your sub by that amount but now you just lose the money (or at least you do with the Times)
Our newsagent just credits the vouchers against the weekly cost. If you cancel papers, the voucher credits still get made against future costs! Seems fair as, presumably, the newsagent can claim back the vouchers anyway.
However, with the Telegraph hiking the subs rate (and not being prepared to negotiate), and the newsagent putting up the cost of delivery, I've told them to keep 'em! Just pick up the Sun every now and then when I feel in need of perking up!0 -
dont know about you lot but im after a daily sport sub or playboy?lol0

Last week I got a phone call from the Telegraph and was offered £1.50 a week , by 3,6,or 12 month subscription, or £6.50 a month. The number they gave me is the one listed 3 posts back.
As I usually get the Times, I contacted them, but they could only offer me £4.50 a week.
I've gone with the Telegraph offer.0 -

Budget £350 - Spent £64.45 to date0 -
When I got the phone call from them, I didn't make a note of the person's name. The following day I phoned them back, saying I wanted the offer. They asked for my personal code, which i didn't have, or the person's name that had phoned me.
They said that they couldn't offer it at that price, but sometimes other sellers had different prices, and they would get someone to call me back. I was called back within 10mins with the £1.50 a week offer.
Hope you manage to get it for £1.500
