  • My cat is a bit of an old dear, but has a thing about running away from her litter tray when she's done something in it. I can always tell when she's been as runs through the lounge into the bedroom making all sorts of noises. Very strange!

She also loves watching snooker on the TV and will stand on her back legs trying to swat at the balls!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Where do i start? Topsy my Chipoo x yorkie, is funny and nuts, all in a good way xxxxx
He has many quirks! hence his name! When we got him, he wouldn't get into his bed by the lower end as he was meant to, he had to go over the highest bit by taking a little run at it and going flying all topsy turvy! Hence his name.

When he wants attention/cuddles he will jump up on the couch and throw his back against the couch so he is upright and shake his belly, this is all whilst he is pressed up against my arm so he has maximum effect!
He will often just come up to my knees and paw my hand to get a stroke, he will bat my hand with his nose when i ignoe him and he wants me to follow.
He reminds me of the dog out of rhubarb and custard the 80's kids show!
He has a manic tendancy of shaking his head like a mad man when he has any rope toy,or cuddly of my bed!
He has a love hate relationship with a toy penguin on my bed, he has to kiss it good night every night, but on the sly will make an attempt to grab her and run! The penguin is called Milly, and Topsy fully understands "wheres milly topsy?" he will go get here then shake her like mad, if i dare to kiss milly he will wait..........and then grab her and shake her, but then he ever so light licks her and puts her back on the bed.
He is a sweetheart and i am blessed to have him.
Like u all i can sit here all day and chat about him!

Some pics, he is currently on pets at home website as a cute dog xxx

This is him as a short hair boy in the summer, he suffers from the heat xx

My 10 year old Westie has numerous 'quirks'

I have a photo of him as my wallpaper on the pc - he barks and growls at himself

He loves raw carrot and brocolli and can hear a tin of corned beef being opened from another room

He goes mental when he hears the glass recycling wagon (the noise from the bottles falling into the wagon)

He attacks the mail when it comes through the letterbox

When it's tea time he takes on biscuit out of the dish, places it in another room then proceeds to 'attack' it and 'kill' it.....then goes back to the dish and eats the rest normally

He 'makes' his own bed, grunting and growling and shoving the bedding all over with his nose and pulling it with his teeth

He hates having his feet touched

    He likes to sniff ears

    the list is endless.......

My 9 year old Springer has developed a funny 'habit' I feed them at 21.00 hrs, having let them out for a wee etc. first. I feed them seperatly, to stop her pigging it all. Then put them to bed together at about 22.00 hrs. I open the back door then too, so anyone who wants one last wee can have one - she will always stop whatever she's doing and do a quick hop over the threshold and back in, even if she doesn't want a wee!
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

Aww its great to read these stories!
Your Pepsi is beautiful Claire Bear! She is the splitting image of our old cat (RIP), that is quite spooky! _pale_ Our Pepsi had less white around her chin though having said that! Really lovely cat, she is very cute :D!
Our Pepsi used to love playing (even when she was 14), she loved to chase dd's toy cars along our laminate flooring!! Gem, our little food monster, lives for her tummy - as soon as we go in the kitchen she magically appears ever hopefull we will open some food for her (she is on a constant diet - we found her recently scoffing her way through a loaf of bread we left out :o!)

Hi, sorry it took me so long to reply to this post, I've just seen it. Thanks very much, she's been here a few weeks now and we keep discovering new little things about her, she's absolutely gorgeous :D She doesn't like playing though, think she's too old and placid for it now, although I might try Da Bird and see if it gets her attention! Have you got any pictures of your Pepsi, I'd love to see them :)
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

My cat who must be about 4 I think, loves to sniff everything. He especially loves when my Mum comes to visit as he will try to get in the ashtray, & eat the ash! bleurgh.

He also likes the smell of trainers and socks. 1632157_600.jpg

My 3 boys all have quirks,
One of them fell in love with a lamp and spends as much time as possible with his head under it (he's all but destroyed it now)
    whiteyandlamp.jpg

His mate has always watched him for a lead...and now there's a constant queue to get under the lamp ...someone is always under there.

    blackieandlamp.jpg

..and then there is a last adoptee who doesn't get on with the other blackie...but doesn't half like to follow me everywhere....to the shop every day no matter the weather. Like a dog.

    What a lovely post.

My dog, who is 2 and is nothin but trouble has a few little habits, the first and most annoying is creeping under a freshly made bed/duvet and totally destroying it, I would tell him off but I laugh to much and the second is doing this meerkat stance when he wants something.

My puppy loves the McDonalds advert, he runs in to the living room when he hears he music, gets right up close to the tv and howls along with his tail wagging...

He also loves baths, if he hears someone open the bathroom door he'll run in and jump in the bath waiting for someone to turn the taps.

Our cockatiel Ollie likes to snuggle up on the computer mouse and go to sleep. This mouse is then his, and no one else is allowed to go near it. If you even try to go near it then you lose your fingers, lol.

He also clucks at men (not sure on this one??) and is in love with my boyfriend feet (he does the mating dance and everything, lol).

My sister had a cockatiel obsessed with feet as well! It was VERY strange. The mating dance was always fun to watch! :rotfl:
