....Alan Bennett's talking heads. 'There's a cream cracker under the sofa'...
I love Alan Bennett, and this is one of my favourites
...just need to chase the education dept who wont speak to the ward psychiatry team....
Good luck - I'm please that you've all been able to make good progress. DS2 had several outpatient sessions with the CAMHS unit in our old town, he found them really helpful & supportive, they were fab with him & me, and agreed with me exactly where the problem lay (and it wasn't with DS2, DS1 or me!).0 -
Jayne - continued best wishes for you and yours lovely xxxxx
Donny-gal - whisper more quietly next time - we all saw it - you might like to know that it's piddling down here
Aussie - gawd - I did the same thing last summer - texted SIL to tell her all about Mr Caring Sharing at the same time as having a text row with him - my heart sank when the words "delivered to B..." flashed up. I think it did him the world of good actually - after roaring for an hour he was quite nice for a month.
Tru - do a Tru - yay - I love it when Tru does a Tru
off w*rk the last two days - nasty flu thing which NHS Direct assure me doesn't sound like the Dreaded Swine Lurgy. Feeling a little bit better today though so might pop over to the Flyladies and see what Pigpen has in store for me this week - goodness knows the house needs it. DD(20) popped over yesterday to make me a nice Poorly Corner downstairs but then made me watch loads of daytime telly - goodness me - there was a loan co. advert blatantly advertising their rate as 2536% pa! and don't get me started on Jeremy Kyle!
Having a lovely time with Mr Beard - he's mostly available on Daddy Weekends (well Mummy Weekends for him) which suits me fine.
OS wise going to get back on the wagon today - dd(24) has been taking care of meals while i'm incapacitated but if I see another oven chip I swear I'll explode. Tonight's tea will be something with vegetables.
have good days allI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Amimals do the strangest things. I have noticed our dog laying on his mat more as it is getting colder, we have laminate floors. If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
Spring begins on 21st March.0 -

I have no idea what you are rambling about, my comment was today was not a good day to have a discussion of what is or is not OS.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
:grouphug:Just wanted to send Jayne a virtual hug.
DH has just arrived home after his meeting got rearranged so making us a nice pot of tea and enjoying peace and quiet.
Will be asking him for a lift later to get DD a new duvet and pillows for her new bed which should arrive tomorrow.
Not sure whether to go to Tesco, Boyses or Ponden Mill. Have soup and shepherds pie from yesterday so don't have to cook much today and can go shopping.
Teenage DD is being a sweetheart today after being a grumpyknickers yesterday morning.
Having spent a year at least in nag - er browbeating - er "encouraging" DH to leave work and take early retirement next January and him acting as if I was trying to set light to his trousers while he was wearing them!
He now says he is looking forward to finishing work
I am glad he now feels this way but Boy the time and effort I put in to this!
Tired Mum
I hope your son feels much better soon and the school gets itself in gear for him.
Hugs to everyone"This site is addictive!"

I forgot about this. I love Alan Bennetts stuff too. This has prompted me to try and search it out to re-view..Had the pleasure of bumping into him in a wholefood store once.:D
Sorry Donny. I thought this was a reference to some less than pleasant occurances on the boards yesterday.I still stand by my points tho.I as many others come here to OS and MSE as a little interlude from troubled times and I don't want to see others on here being unpleasant and unsupportive, We all have a right to be here and I know personally I have found this place a boon in tough times myself on occasion. Knowing that we are not alone no matter what our day to day circumstances can mean a lot. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
Still thinking about Jayne and George. Hugs to you both.
Could we all please refrain today? My head's bursting.
No OS going on Bei me today, can't be [STRIKE]arsed[/STRIKE]bothered. W*rk at 1.30pm, having the boys home for lunch before that, so I can see them before bed. Oh well, that'll be my OS today then!
Have a safe day, everyone, be happy and like Diva said, tell your loved ones you love them. XIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

I don't post in here usually (used to maybe 2 years ago but not recently) but I'm trying to get back on track with OSing and spending a lot more time reading on the board. I'm off work sick and feeling guilty about the mountain of ironing, the cleaning I need to do in the kitchen and the washing I simply don't have space to dry (and don't have a tumble dryer). Perhaps I should be joining Flylady looking at the state of the house!! It's not awful but it's pretty shambolic in places.
