Thriftlady, there's not many pics, but the ones that are there make the food look fab :D

There's a section (a couple of pages long) called Seasonal Shopping. It's listed month by month, that's quite handy.

You get a free bookmark with oven temps on it :D

Mr tru is the chef in our house, lol. I'm more of a basic food person so it's great for me. When I opened it this morning, I thought it'd be a bit basic for you (judging by what you say in your posts) TBH :undecided

    Sunflower, that's great news :j

Actually I decided not to get that one as I'd been spending rather a lot on cookbooks -yes, really:D I thought I'd have a look at it in the shops before taking the plunge. Should I get it? Has it got nice pics?

Might be tempted if it hasn't - dd(13) has taken to holding the picture up against her tea and making disparaging comments - only in jest mind you or she might find herself wearing it :D

and tonight's will be no exception - please remind me next time that i really really hate breadcrumbing anything. oh competent cooks, how you would have despaired as i dipped salmon fishcakes first into flour - eeeeew claggy - and then into the egg - eeeeeeew wash hands wash hands - and then the breadcrumbs - eeeeeew even more claggy wash hands wash hands. Had to do that 8 times with poor salmon-maddened Brian the Cat tripping me up at every sink dash. don't know why as i don't mind kneading bread or squishing up meatballs :confused::confused:

    Evening all

First of all great news Sunflower:j

Thinking of you Jayne and George

    Welcome Janiebaby and Stokegal

Busy day at work so was really glad that I had some bolognaise in freezer that could be defrosted and served up easily! Thank heaven for bulk cooking!

Had a terrible night last night as had to use the breathing machine and could not get off at all. Gave up the ghost at 2.15 a.m. and took mask off but as I had to be up at 5.00 for work did not get much sleep at all. Am dreading tonight! I have to give it a 2 week trial and last night was the first night so goodness knows what state I will be in at the end of the 2 weeks - I thought it was to improve the quaity of my sleep!

Anyway less of my moaning. Have a good evening all
