Never underestimate the importance of choosing your own underwear. :rotfl:
I'm a big sloggi kind of girl myself, but at weekends I have some pure silk ones in a similar style. I'll wear a pair of them during the week if I've got an important meeting at work. (No not THAT kind of meeting!)Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Ha ha! Knickers in question were nothing special - M&S white boxers wit red spots. But the srest of the outfit was given to me - bras given as a nun, rest of the outfit, inc shoes and tights given by a former-soon-to-be-again-nun! But I fel good!
Had a good cry tonight, first one not on my own since I came out, done me good I think.0 -

It's late so fix yourself a warm drink and try to get some sleep. It will make you feel beter and make day come quicker.Life is too short to waste a minute of it complaining about bad luck. Find joy in the simple things, show your love for those around you and be grateful for all that you have.

Think I am a bit under the weather - very tired, just feeling a bit grotty_pale_ so that hasn't helped how I have been feeling emotionalyy, hence it was probably safer me staying out of the way of here yesterday!
Had a phone call with my family, as I do once or twice a week, and can now quite clearly see the way mum tries to manipulate me, and the emotional blackmail. Its hard to see that it is still there, and to accept that as I make progress with counselling and become more able to move away from the past, the gap between us is only going to get bigger. I hope we are able to keep the love that always should be there between mother and daughter as the emotional and dare I say maturity differences increase. Its not going to be easy.
Well, todays task is to get some washing done and then clean the bathroom! Double bonus is I have a free Lenor sample so my bedding can smell all girlie!0 -
Some good news. Finally had a letter saying my application for LHA has gone through and the first payment (3wks) will be made on 19th. To add to it, my actual rent is below the LHA level here, so I will have an extra £10 a week, which is a bonus.:beer:0

Maybe you could write your feelings down in a journal? Or in a document kept on your PC?
Good news about the LHA, and the £10 bonus! Maybe that can be your "pocket money"?!
Any news on your mysterious mystery yet?0 -
Hi Cecelia
I too have been following your "path" and glad to hear that things are slowly getting better a day at a time!
I don't know the ins and outs of your whole situation and I don't mean to be cheeky but you sound like a very kind hearted person in need of some TLC.
I don't know if you would be interested but I have just sorted through my wardrobe and have plenty of clothes including coats (you could keep your red one for Sunday best!!).
They are size 10/12 some larger. If you are interested, I am happy to post them to you (I am sure we could work some anomity out if you require).
I was struggling 2 years ago, I am a recovered alcholic (completley different situation I know) - but I still focused on "Footprints" and day by day things got better and now I am living a very happy life.
An MSE'r emailed me a similar note and sent me the most beautiful bits and pieces. My higher power certainly was there for me that day.
Anyway, let me know if it is of any help to you..
With best wishes and chuffed that you got your benefits sorted out - it took me time too but now that you have been "accepted" things should be a lot easier.
