Need motination today. Going to Oxford to stay with some priest friends of mine, and to catch up briefly with someone else I know. BUT whats annoying me is not knowing what time I am expected to arrive!!! When I text I got the reply 'anytime before 22:30!' Well thats fine, but does it mean that 19:30 which is what I was thinking, is too early?

I'd love to be someone who can take this sort of thing easily in their stride, but I am so not! I like to know exact time and place for everything, and then to be a bit early just in case!

If I'd sent that text it would mean "please don't turn up too late, we don't want to be sitting up until 2am waiting for you arrive" :)

simple thing is to text back saying that you're "planning to arrive about 7.30 depending on traffic, is that ok?"

Yep, unless I hear differently before about 1pm, I will aim for the 4pm train, which gets me there around 7:30.

    How's you today Daska?

Cheesy chips - what is wrong with these here cheesy chips methinks? Now - have you ever tried ones with mayonnaise....?

Now - just one teensy thought for the day our Faith - and that's me wondering whether you might like to start up a blog (as well as having a thread here on MSE that is....).

Reason - on a blog one can say exactly what one likes about anything one likes.....

But then....I'm a great advocate of blogs I am....errr....my MSE homepage leads straight to one of my blogs I've started personally....

Just a thought - and if you decide to start one up then Blogger is the quickest/easiest website to use for one....

......but do feel free to ignore me if it doesn't "float your boat" ....:D

Not these cheesy chips, these cheesy chips are about as wrong as you can get, the bowl is deep and too narrow at the top so you end up with a spludge of bad cheese on top and no cheese on most of the chips.:p

I know this might be viewed as a little sad but imagine the xxx is the cheese and you can't see the chips for the cheese...
