    Hi all
Due to all the confusion about who will take what coupons I though I would make this half term week a coupon week and see what I can save on my shopping. I aim to shop everyday as as many different stores as I can and use as many coupons as I can.
Ok, week over and I have saved a whopping 87% on my shopping using various coupons at various stores(6 different stores in loads of different locations so no 1 store has been hit more than once when using substantial amounts of coupons) purchasing various items - you can see that a little effort and time (about 5/6 hours over the week) has had great results - No one has been injured, embarrased, upset or put out by my somewhat OTT use of coupons. I have run out now so will not be using coupons to this extent any more. (until next time that is!!!!). So confusion over!!! supermarkets can and will take all kinds of coupons - it really is down to your confidence, the stores managers own policy, the main store policy, the ignorance of the CSA or self scan supervisors, lack of staff training, tills wrongly set up and sheer determination to shop for virtually nothing!!

Sorry Annie, I don't mean to sound rude, but I find it very sad that you dont have anything better to do with your time/day other than rush around supermarkets trying to see whether theyll take coupons off you.

Ill probably get a load of abuse thrown back at me for saying it, and I say it in the nicest way, believe me, but it really did make me sad when I read your post...

Yes I do find your post quite rude.
I have plenty of other things to do and have done them today along with the supermarket race - all of which took me a total of about 70 mins. Please don't feel sad for me I quite enjoyed getting my shopping reduced by 36% - supermarkets, especially tesco, rip us off constantly and getting my own back by saving a good % on my shopping is good for my soul and if I can help others along the way by confirming what supermarkets do or don't take in respect of coupons then that is also good for my soul.

I find it sad you have nothing better to do than post on a thread you don't like.

I'm going to be careful here. Don't want to be caught between 3 women and their handbags.

I can understand to an extent the response from Sandybrag but perhaps it could have been done a bit more diplomatically. I mean none of us on here knows one another. Annie might live a stones throw from these supermarkets and hence it doesn't take very long. Personally I have 5 Tescos within 3 miles of me - 2 of them express stores so it doesn't take me long to get out. I also have a co-op and a couple of Asdas, 2 Nettos, Aldi, M&S so I guess you could say I'm in the thick of it.

I also need to say that I hate the way these big supermarkets act and if I can get my moneys worth I will. At the same time I think that the excercise of trying different supermarkets is a valid one - but one which will only work with her and on that particular day. As we all know on here the same supermarket in a different city or different part of town (let alone a different assistant) will have a totally different view of the policy in place.

So peace to you all and let us work together for CONSUMER REVENGE :D:D

Exactly what I guessed - now if you'd travelled 70 miles that would have been a different matter ;)

Very wise Stebiz mine is very heavy full of nappies, toys, wipes, and of course VOUCHERS.
I have taken note of what was said about this thread being read etc. My problem is after many years of Sainsbury's shopping I am still amazed and overjoyed at what I can save.

Sorry sandybrag, I don't mean to sound rude but I find it very sad that you dont have anything better to do with your time/day other than read threads that you don't really approve of and see fit to judge the people posting in them :rotfl: Maybe you should visit another thread or get out a bit more? You might even save some money in the shops ;-)
