But what would you do if they scrapped Tesco Clubcard Deals?!!! :eek:0 -
highly unlikely they would scrap all the tesco deals, there has to be some incentive to go to Tescos, if there wasn't I'd go to my local Morrisons.
I've just this morning converted my vouchers from my last expected mailing so I another £1600 to spend at MFI - happy days

Well I went tescoing today, it turned into a mammoth shopping visit of the local stores but I did in the space of 5 hours save myself £145.00 using vouchers. I did big shops and little shops and bought £120 of clothing which was completely FREE using the various clothing vouchers (including the £6 quit ones).

Hello all! Not been around for a while as Orange very helpfully decided to terminate my broadband contract. It took them 3 months to get me back online but at least I now have 6 months free connection as I complained heartily! Anyway, back on topic.....
Back to coupon use. Things have been a little harder round here lately. Local Tescos said they weren't taking coupons unless customers had bought the item last time I visited. Haven't tried again since at that store but a store not so near by took them without a problem. Waitrose says it now has a notice board up saying its policy is no more than 4 coupons at any one shop. Well, at least I know where I stand... I'll try again at my local store in due course.
I know there's an NCT sale coming up (hoping it wasn't today) and I wondered if you wouldn't mind telling me about their cheque book - it's a new one on me - cheers m'dears!0 -
Hiya rozepozee, hope you and the little one are OK, nice to see you back on the boards. I had a similar problem with talktalk and I am still awaiting a £20 payment from them as their goodwill gesture.
I always went to the NCT sales when mine were little, it is amazing how much brand new stuff was on sale at very low prices. Now they are older there usually isnt much although I did pick up some brand new m and s trousers for DS for £1 a pair and they were still tagged. Not sure about the cheque book - thingy though.
I tried waitrose for the 1st time the other day had a huge song and dance and eventually they let me use one voucher off my shopping.

Hello Welshie luvvie - I've missed you guysThe little one is lovely, though chomping and drooling like a maniac at the moment - must be 'teething'!
Coupon Mad mentioned the NCT cheque book, or at least another poster mentioned that CM had mentioned it. I'm hoping CM will see this and enlighten us as she is accustomed to doing
!!!!!! about Waitrose, my store's policy isn't a national one then? They said there were posters up confirming the change although I confess I didn't check them (baby wanting a feed)0 -
I tried waitrose whilst on holiday and the cashier read two coupons said I don't know if we sell them will have to find a manager etc. So I said leave it.
Tesco's has been great this week £5 for £60 worth of clothes and went to get some treats for everybody today DVD for kids, mag for Dh etc and had loads of coupons excepted so managed to use up lots of 20 p ones0 -

Hiya rozeepozee,
Nice to have you back on the threads, wondered where you had gone but thought you must be busy with the new baby!
The NCT Chequebooks were about the size of the little chequebooks that were in Prima magazine last year, if you saw them. They are full of adverts re baby stuff and offers to save tuppence on a Center parcs holiday etc., but there were also several coupons in each booklet.
I used to go to NCT sales regularly, and strangely only one of my local sales used to have these booklets in abundance. The other NCT groups either had none (maybe the organisers had kept them!), or they put one copy in the carrier bag before packing your purchases at the till. If they did that, I used to buy a couple of things, get a carrier bag and booklet, then go back to the clothing pile and find some more bits, do it again, then off to the toy stand, etc.
I would end up with quite a few copies, you could also pick up discarded/forgotten copies in the refreshments area (if the sale had one) or at the end when frazzled parents had dropped them.
Biggest tip on NCT sales is not to take the little one....it's too busy to take a buggy in and if you really want to find bargains you're not going to do it with a crying baby under one arm. I nearly lost my youngest DS once when he was 2, he was next to me one minute then he'd disappeared....found him outside wandering towards the carpark (luckily already being closely followed by a concerned organiser who brought him back to me!).
Back on topic, coupons....I saw a promo stand in a Supermarket today with coupons, won't say where....me and the kiddies managed to come home with over 50 coupons at 50p each! Non-specific, scannable, lovely free money!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
