That's really good advice Welshy, I think initially I did overspend when using vouchers and then was stuffed when they would only accept one or whenever their latest policy was!!
I look on my vouchers as cash which can always be spent another day, but only on things we really need.
With the Tesco H&B vouchers, I always feel I should hide the toiletries amongst other shopping, but I have to be really careful, as I've end up making loads of shopping trips and we've now got so many packets of wholewheat pasta I've got nowhere to store it!!!0 -

Thanks for your comments Welshy, I agree with you, cashiers vary hugely in experience and willingness to help us. In this paticular case the cashier called a supervisor and they both agreed that in the 15 years they'd been working there or whatever it was, the policy had always been 10% only and they had to stock the product.
I would take it up with head office, since it clearly contradicts what seems to be Waitrose official policy, but what with being a member of the slatterns' club and all I don't think I can be bothered0 -
Regarding Waitrose, I have the policy printed off from Head office but when I phoned my local store to confirm this I swear they thought I was making it up as I went along. They said to do my shopping, then when I hand over the vouchers the cashier would call the supervisor who would then decide what was acceptable or not .................. um I don't think so, rather stick with being followed around Tescos by crabby supervisors LOL

Had a good one today, spent £16.06 minus multibuys of £-5.67, total to pay £10.39, handed over 4 coupons (just said to cashier please scan what you can) worth £8.50 in total, paid a grand total of £1.89!!!!0

Asda told me they have a new coupon policy only five coupons in any single transation and no single voucher to be over £3. You don't have to buy the item though.0

I had a great shop in Tescos today. Spent £45 after BOGOF £30 then used £10 of H+B vouchers and then another 8 pounds of other vouchers so paid £11 in total.
Also been a great week for collecting vouchers. On Wednesday whilst in Sainsbury a lady had a stall with cow and gate fruit puree on it and the chance to win vouchers. You chose a card and put it under a red film it said if you had won or not and I won a voucher for £5 off Cow and Gate products in Sainsbury's. Then today in Tescos there was a Dowe Egberts stand outside with samples of coffee and leaflets for 30p off the coffee not Tescos specific valid till 31 /12. A quick scout around trolleys and I had 10 of them so another £3 off my shopping in the future. Always worth checking out these stands0 -
oh ella2002 you have reminded me will PM you now
I had a great shop today there is a glitch on the quality street so I got 6 tins of Quality street total was £47.88 minus discounts of £27.00 = £20.88 so effectively cost me £3.48 a tin.
Off the £20.88 the SA also accepted £11 worth of money off vouchers so paid £9.88 for my 6 tins of quality street - that should keep me going until tomorrow lunchtime LOL - Welshy xI am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL
