Can you use the Morrisons vouchers at Tescos?

  • Yes I must say the time has come for me to stop mentioning my savings and just refer to them as "considerable amounts". I went to tescos twice today and did not use a single voucher - gasp ! I even did not buy any of the new health and beauty items - even bigger gasp !!!

I hope that my experiences/stories and advice have motivated the voucher user in lots of the people on here. I think it has from the PM's I have received which is good.

However, today I have become seriously disillusioned with Tescos yet again, after the problems in my local store I am completely and utterly fed up of Tescos.

Today, went to the store bought a paper, evil supervisor rushed over to colleague to gossip about me (believe me I am not paranoid) then shouted something across ..........I didn't give her the satisfaction so I left the store.

Got to work phoned the Manager to complain, Manager was busy - some FIVE hours later I phoned again, oh yes someone will phone you back, did they like hell they did.

OH says drop it but seen as this has been rumbling on with her since 28th June I am getting seriously irritated by her behaviour. Is she worth wasting my time on another complaint, do you know I am not so sure anymore.

How did this start ? well I tried to redeem vouchers against non-purchased items as per the policy that their HO sent me,

    Oh Welshy,

    :kisses3: :kisses3: :kisses3:

I can imagine how annoying this is - doesn't she see that she puts you off shopping in that store? It's not in their interest, that's for sure.

I really don't know what I'd do if I were you. 'Theoretically' speaking, you should complain - but your complaint may deteriorate things even further.

I'm not sure what you could do but there is more than one way to 'skin a goose' - I think that is the saying :D Certainly don't get down about it. I mean with all the money you have saved (and continue to save) I know who is having the last laugh!!!

One day about 5 years ago I ran out of Petrol right outside a Petrol Station. I didn't have my card or any cash. I pushed it onto the forecourt and instead of just putting petrol in and then advising the cashier that I'd forgot my money - I went and told her first. She was the manager. 'Oh well if you haven't got any money you can't get Petrol - I'll have to cordon you off'. I felt so embarassed.

After I was sitting in the car for 10 minutes hoping to catch my wife who travelled past on the way home, she came over saying it was too busy and put a tenner in the car providing I left jewellery which I'd previously offered anyway.

I put the Petrol in and then went home. The next day I returned and she got my chain out and put it on the counter. I picked it up and emptied £10 worth of 1p and 2p coins on the counter - they went everywhere. She then had the ordacity to say 'I needed change anyway'.

Some you win, some you lose.... today, I went into one Tescos (a Metro) which happily took all the vouchers I handed over (some printed off the internet) and the next (a large out of town store) which declined to take any because: they don't take book vouchers and if you have printed vouchers you have to buy the item. Ah well, better luck next time.

    Thank you for your email.

Any coupons, which display the Tesco logo, are Tesco specific. We only accept these if the products referred to on the coupons are purchased. This is because we negotiate savings with our suppliers on the condition that these actual products will be purchased.

With regard to coupons from brand name manufacturers, we are happy to accept one, even if you have not purchased the product. The coupon must be in date and Tesco must sell the item. If you present more than one identical coupon, then you must purchase the same number of products.

This also applies to coupons printed from the Internet. These will only be accepted at the discretion of the Store Manager.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain our policy.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us at customer.service@tesco.co.uk quoting TES2559571X.

    Kind Regards

This is an email i received from Tescos today replying to my query about their voucher policy.
    Not Buying it 2015!
  • Yes katierose that is the email that I received and showed to my local store. However, they replied that basically individual stores and Managers can set their own limits as to how many or how little they take.
