  • Cheers Welshy, I am off to my local Mr T tomorrow, or may buy a till spit on ebay for the points first as I can't find any H&B vouchers in my area this time to boost my points up. They are pretty good in my store if you pick the right cashier, I used all four coast vouchers today along with another £1 voucher.

By the way, got two free back to school goody bags today and each have £2.20 in coupons in. :T :T

Thanks for all your posts Welshy, I am now a convert to coupons.

I had a good day today too!

This morning I went to 2 Tescos and got £10 worth of H&B stuff at each (in with other shopping to disguise the fact the vouchers meant it cost practically nothing!).

At the second store I also picked up 6 packs of the BBQ Doritos that don't scan at the 2 for £2 offer, put them thru' as a separate transaction from the H&B stuff so that CS wouldn't query the huge voucher-use when I got the R&R. Worked like a treat so that I ended up paying under 50p in that second store!

Then this pm I took DD and her friend to town centre, parked in Waitrose car park, you can park free if you buy some bits in Waitrose. So I bought about £6-worth of stuff, used some coupons (including a £3 Royal Canin Catfood one that doesn't scan at Tesco) and ended up paying just 3p!!!!!

On the way home with the girls they wanted a drink so of course I stopped off at another Tesco! Found several R&R opportunities including the out-of-date poster about £20 off Virgin/Vodaphone phones with £20 airtime. Did not dare try this on my doorstep though, it would have needed a manager to approve, and probably an argument in front of the girls.

Could have had yet more free Doritos but decided to go for the one that will be put right soon, namely the 2 Annuals for £8 (doesn't work when one of the annuals is Noddy). Girl at CS cheerfully gave me R&R, saying that someone else had already pointed it out yesterday! Silly store, they'd removed the SEL but left the stickers on all the Noddy books. I don't need Noddy so will exchange it without a receipt for Dr Who annual at another store soon!

Oh yes, had also used a load of coupons at the till and had only paid a tenner for the annuals, some fruit shoots, another copy of Good Housekeeping (mega coupons, see magazine freebies thread!). The refund for the annuals was almost a tenner, so a few pence spent again!

    Tesco are off their trolleys!:rotfl:

I don't notice the misprices very often - must check on some pasta pronto which I think I was overcharged on, will dig out my receipt later.

Ah yes: Batchelors Pasta 'n' Sauce Macaroni Cheese 108g 2 for £1.10 I was overcharged as the discount did not come off.

Thanks Welshy that's a new one, you should post it on the misprices thread if you haven't already.

It's not often that you can find one no-one else has yet reported, don't think I have done yet. I just memorise the stuff I might like to look at.

No you're not, go on, go get some Doritos or Welshy's new one, they are easy because you don't usually get any argument!

You just say 'I've just noticed on my receipt that the offer for the Doritos has not come off. I think it was 2 for £2 or summat (sound a bit vague...)'.

Then wait for the refund. The fun bit (for me) is on the odd occasion when they try to give you the difference, I love that! I am well practised with the slightly confused look, staring at the 50p or whatever they've just given you, and saying 'oh but I thought you had a full refund policy...it's on that HUGE blue noticeboard right behind you...':D

But anyway, you can do it, then tell us your success on the misprices discussion thread! We won't bite (even though there has been the odd OTT bit of banter on that thread in the past, it's making happy reading this weekend with all the consoles being given away by Santa Tesco!).

  • I must admit I rarely try the tesco R&R policy, I'm not shy but I do not like to get into situations where I feel nervous eg I was overcharged on a cd about 19 months ago. CS called the Manager, who took my name and address and I felt like a thief.

These days though, I like using my vouchers so if I did try to get an R&R it would highlight the fact that I used several vouchers in one shop. By not going to CS and not getting the R&Rs I would hope that I am below the radar
