  • Hiya Annie  I was just sorting my vouchers into envelopes for my next shopping trips. Whilst I have used the toiletry vouchers that I had (not yet found a store locally that has them) I have several healthcare vouchers left so will look to see what I can use them on. On the ones that would not scan at my store I went to CS and showed them the voucher and they gave me the cash back or added the points on

I have used 3 lots of H=B vouchers over the past week. One more lot to go. On 2 occasions everyone scanned, on other occassion only one £2.50 voucher scanned. Don't understand it.

I had a great day shopping today, I did it in 4 visits to maximise my voucher usage.

Before discounts my totals came to £180.00 and after discounts, bogofs, vouchers etc I paid just £79.00. I also gained a whopping 2,613 points which is just over £104.00 to spend at MFI. Which means they paid me to shop !!!

How did I do this, well for example I had a 750 point voucher for spending £30 on clothes, so I checked out the sale rail, bought some lovely items and used the clothing vouchers in conjunction with each other eg a £4 off, a £5 off, and 2 £6 off vouchers (different barcodes), which resulted in just spending £9 on the clothes and getting the 750 points. (Thanks to Prayi for the £6 clothing voucher and ebay for the till spill). I also used some of the toiletry vouchers and various other vouchers too.

Now, I don't do this every week and it really depends on the cashiers but I was exceptionally lucky today to do this. Additionally, some of the vouchers expired tomorrow so I had to do use them quickly.

  • Hiya djl - I do save alot of money, we found ourselves, like many others I suspect on here, in a very tight situation around 2 years ago. With the advice on here from coupon users when I joined up I plucked up the courage to start using coupons too and have since saved us as a family a fortune.

I still think though, that regardless of whether I won the lottery or not, I would still clip my vouchers religiously.

  • Haven't read through all of this.

This is an eye opener to me. I use to do this years ago but thought you couldn't give vouchers unless you bought the item.

Before I go to the bother of trying to collect vouchers can anyone tell me if they have redeemed them in Tesco - Lee Valley Store in Edmonton London as this is where I would go.

I like to shop in Morrisons actually as they are cheaper and I prefer their veg but if I am going to save what others have I guess I will have to go to Tesco.

So Welshy, if I understand you right you used a £4, £5, and £6 off the same £30 of clothes? I hadn't thought of that. I have one lot of the clothing vouchers attached together 4, 5, 6, and 10, could I use more than one of these on the same clothing shop? or do I need a different set? They have the same start of bar code so probably not. I also have a £6 off £30 which is specific to my store (Matalan opened next door!), presumably I could use this as well as at least one of the others?

    Thanks in anticipation
  • Hello Harriet  basically I picked up £30 worth of clothing, I used a £4, £5, £6 and another different brown £6 off clothing voucher, this gave a balance to pay of just £9. (these are the blue vouchers currently being sent out). I also had a till spill for spending £30 on clothing which gave me 750 points. So, yes the vouchers can be used together. But if I had a duplicate set the till would not have accepted the twin vouchers and would have beeped.

This is a great way of saving money. However, this is dependent on the cashier, I have tried this before and the cashier refused stating it was one per transaction.
