Hopefully, I can now get back to ME. I had so many plans which have been on hold because of them. OSing isn't just something I do, it's a way of life and I love it. It starts again today.

    You go girl! :T:T

I feel for you Tru and Molly with your horrible teens. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed mine don't turn out to be ungrateful and rude. Do teenagers always become obnoxious or is it possible to avoid that stage? My eldest is 14 and so far he's lovely -a bit loud and silly at times but helpful, happy to do as he is asked and very affectionate. It is early days though.

Said teenager has returned from his field trip to Wales full of beans and having had a fab time cliff traversing and body boarding in the sea. The weather was good but wild and windy.

Breakfast -leftover berry cobbler or toast today and OJ. Have made another sour dough loaf and very good toast it makes.

Lunchboxes have homemade rolls with coronation chicken filling, walnut and honey muffins (dd's school is nut-free so she has a choc chip muffin) and oranges.
I shall have the same probably.

Supper will be chicken and bacon pie (yes, lots of chicken today) using up leftover baked potaoto halves.

    Jobs today

    Grocery shopping -farmshop + Waitrose
    Make flapjacks
Do the mountain of laundry ds1 has produced after 2 days away.
Do a bit more French revision before my class this evening.

    Morning Chums,
well a drop of rain at long last. This morning I'm am doing another interview run with youngest DD.I'll be so pleased when she gets a job, bless her, its not for the want of trying.I made some of twinks hobnobs yesterday and gave some (8) to eldest DD who said 'I'll take some maybe Holly might like to try one' she phoned last night to say they had all gone, scoffed by SIL,Holly and her brother, DD is dieting so she never had one.She is so used to her family turning their noses up if it hasn't been bought in M&S that I think she was quite surprised.Youngest DDs tribe of five gannets will eat anything that's put in front of them:) Uni tonight and the Peterloo Massacre so that will keep my old grey cells working for a while. I must try to do some of the ironing this afternoon if possible.Tuna & sweetcorn salad for lunch.Hope everyone has a great day
    Cheers JackieO xx

    Morning all! :hello:

(hugs) to those who need them.

Well its freezing here this morning, but I am determined not to put the heating on! It is forecast to be milder midweek, and as we have storage heaters it won't be until then that they actually warm up so it would be pointless to put them on. So we're all wearing lots of layers!

Not working this morning, got to pop to town to put a cheque in the bank but am getting a lift with a friend, which saves me £2.50 in bus fare, means I don't have to walk a mile to the bus stop and means I have company!

Spiced Butternut Squash Soup for lunch, and Chicken and Leek Pie made with yesterday's leftover roast for tea.

Hope it warms up by this afternoon as it's my volunteering in school afternoon!

Hope you all have a good day x

    Morning all,

Have stripped the bed, WM nearly finished, will line dry bedding as weather is good here.
I portioned all stock from 9 chick carcasses after making some leek & potato soup last night. Plan to tackle the ironing pile and sort through mending basket.

Will get back to doing the stone work on the barn that we're converting into a conservatory, all doors, windows and 4 of the 5 beams are in place. Must get the glass roof measured and ordered. I got some house plants off freecycle and can't wait to start furnishing it.

Off to make a chicken and leek pie for dinner tonight.
Hope it's a good day for all.

    Morning everyone :hello:

Rushing about as it's OH's birthday and the girls get very exited about these things.
Have just done a cooked brekky and we're about to open presents. Lovely quiet day planned. A bit of housework and a bit of gardening but nothing too taxing. OH has requested HM fish and chips for tea and I'm making profiterroles in lieu of a cake.

Tru I do have pics of the hens but I'll send them to you rather than put them on here for obvious reasons. ;)

    Have a lovely day all.

Morning all, still not finding much time to get on here, but OS ways are sticking, even if the food budget is a little awry! I don't mind spending more on food, as long as nothing is being wasted.

I'm having problems with my Youth orchestra exchange. THey arrive Saturday and I am still 2 beds short, with the potential for another host family having to say no due to elderly relative being unwell. Not good for the nerves really. If all else fails they can come here, but I'm already doing so much for the exchange that I don't really want to do that. It's a tough week.

I need to get the house in ship shape in any case and then maybe some extra baking done in case I suddenly get these two older teen lads here! The leader staying with me is easy to deal with as I know him reasonably well. The lads would have to go in dd's room () and she just went off to Uni. A Big Box situation! My arm is still bad, so will leave a list of stuff I can't do (duvet covers etc) for dh to do at the weekend while I'm away on the residential bit of the exchange.

Meanwhile my support crew (DH) has gone off on his now weekly work trip till Thursday night very late. I'm sitting here mulling over the situation as I type. SAD lamp at my side and dealing with the side effects of my winter medication. I'll enjoy the exchange week, providing I'm actually awake for some of it!

Have a lovely day everyone, and may all your problems be small ones.

    Morning everyone.
Put a nappy on DS last night so no wet bed today. He hates wearing them (so I have to put it on when he's asleep) and I don't like doing it but I need to do something until he settles down again.
Got to pop to supermarket for some bits today and Sainsbury have 25% off all their clothing until today so will check out some clothes for the kids.
Have a list as long as my arm in my head of jobs I want to do - just not sure where to start
Tuna pasta bake for tea so nice and easy.

NPM - I think the veil is lovely - good choice :D Any chance of seeing any pics of the dress? ;)

Right better get a move on or I'll never get into gear at this rate :o

Hugs to those that need them. Have a good day OS or not.

Edited this post as was a quote from Haribo's original post - if she removed it then I don't think she'd want me still to have it on display.

Just want to say though I am sorry you have encountered such numpties - clearly they need to get out more ;)
