The company's Birmingham store will stock a range of brands for men and women including its plus-size range Forever 21+. Like the US, Britain has a burgeoning and lucrative market for larger clothing sizes.

just reading through this thread which i haven't done before, if you are looking for really good shape wear try Peacocks, i had a lovely dress for a wedding this summer but it was all one colour and i was worried about looking lumpy and bumpy ( size 20-22) and they have lovely all in one tube style hold it all in underwear, it was only £8 and was excellent, i felt so comfy and i don't normally wear dresses at all, i have since bought their black shapewear leggings which are by far the best fitting and they don't end up with knees in them, and they are full lenght and only £5, i tell every one about them, even got my mum into the tube all in one and shes a size 24-26, will say they come up big, mum got into the size 18 and i got the 14-16.ADOPT DONT SHOP......🐕🐕🐕🐕0

We keep getting told that we are all getting heavier but I think it is harder to get plus sizes now than it was a few years ago. New look only has Inspire in selected shops. Many shops that did plus sizes have disappeared like What Every One Wants, Mark One and Littlewoods. Some have stopped doing plus ranges like Primark. I seem to buy most of my clothes in either Marks or Matalan and it is usually it fits so lets get it. You would think that some company would see that there is a great opportunity for reasonable priced plus sizes.0 -
Ann Harvey have an extra 20%off selected?? products online this weekend & if you go through quidco there is 8% cash back & it says on quidco 50% off all full price jewellery.
20% off ends tomorrow.
Managed to get this grey cable waterfall cardi for £26.35 including delivery (it's £48 at debenhams!!) could not get the jewellery reduced though, not too disappointed was only getting some earrings for the sake of it.Booo!!!0 -
Hi girls, never posted on this thread before but need some advice. How do you all wear boots? I'm a 22 top, 24 bottom and 5ft 11. I would love to wear boots with jeans tucked in but feel I'm too big for that style and just wondered what you all think about that? At the moment I just wear boots under boot cut jeans but it feels so old!“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

I wear knee high boots with knee length or long skirts, and ankle boots with trousers. I would feel (and no doubt would also look) foolish with trousers tucked in my boots.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

There are several places I tend to shop at and also some I avoid. I hate the fact that in most shops like New look for example the plus range is at the back of the shop, like they are hiding it, but will charge you significantly more for an item a little bit bigger. Whilst I am having a moan, some places make things that really are unflattering and that you wouldnt want to buy. Evans has to be the best by far, followed by ASOS Curve, which does some lovely items. I also shop at Very, Marisota, and Yours. Next do some big sizes, as do M&S.0

I so agree with you!
M&S used to be next to the old ladies' section. If looking for the plus size dpt I would look for the 'sensible cardigans and flower print' section.
Depressing, I really hated it!
Then, even better idea, why don't we stock large sizes (24+) together with normal sizes, so people will stop moaning that we have a separate section at the back.
Great! If it wasn't that the have very few styles with my size, and I have no intention of going through everything they stock, seeing lots of lovely things, and find very few in my size (actually, I've never found any, stopped searching at the first item I realllllly like and could not have).
M&S are just missing the point, a separate section with nice clothes, in a nice part of the store is what we are after, a pleasant shopping experience, not depressing!0 -
Could anyone help please. I'm a size 22 and want some black or indigo jeans, simple style, no sparkle to draw attention to big bottom!
The trouble is, I have really fat thighs, knees and even calves (typical British pearshape). I am 5'6".
I want jeans that come up higher than hips, nearer waist fit as more flattering and comfortable, and with some stretch. So many bootcut look too tight round knee.
I've looked for straight cut but not had any luck. I don't want to buy online as I need to try them on. Saw some wideleg ones online, but not keen on them.
Tried some Ann Harvey recently and they looked good in the leg, but crotch was too low (or legs too short) and they only did one length.
I really need to some some weight but just cannot do it. Thanks anyone for any ideas or advice.0 -
I've not seen any high waisted jeans in recent years, am the same size as you. I get mine from new look but have boot cut so am no use to you at all lol“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0
