When I phoned them the girl took the payment for the replacement dress over the phone and said my account will be credited when they get the other dress back.
It is coming tomorrow and hopefully they'll take the other 1 back at the same time.
I asked about the sizing as the 4 dresses were the same label and style but 1 was miles too big she said that can happen even if there's a subtle differences in the styles.
They only have 1 store in Aberdeen, Scotland which is too far to travel from Glasgow so I'll keep looking out for the codes and the discount.
My sister noticed an advert with £20 off in the Metro a couple of weeks ago but there was no online code printed.
The delivery service and drawstring bags are fab I haven't found a use for them yet but I'm sure I will.
It is good to know we have a quality retailer out there when you want to treat yourself or have a special occasion.

talking of sizing... got my delivery from Evans, two very similar dresses, one size 26, one size 22/24 and they both fitted perfectly...
Size 26/28 knickers wouldn't go past my bum (I ain't gonna buy a 30/32 thank you very much).
TS delivery system is the best I've used, fantastic. :T
Their return system is the worst though, but hopefully it will improve, as it's a very important part of the process considering that you need to get 2 or even 3 sizes to find the right fit.
Great clothes, they'll see a lot of me, can't wait to visit their shop0 -

Going back to what I was saying about Taking Shape, I have to say that I'm really not impressed with them, a part from the sizing issues, my experience of their customer service, returns in particular, is not very good.
The whole return process has been a shamble, from using the online form, trying too get an exchange, and booking the collection, they got there in the end but it was a lot of hassle, paper form, online form, emails, phone calls, and they don't even apologise if they get it wrong.
I've just placed another order because there was a jacket I really wanted to buy, but after this I don't think I'm going to shop from them again until they've become a bit more organised, as their unreliable sizing means that there is no way of avoiding returns.
Also a friend of mine visited one of their shops and the sales assistant totally ignored her, not even acknowledged her while she was helping someone else. It made me look stupid because I told her that they are very helpful and she was going to book a styling session, instead she looked around for 5 minutes and walked out.
Is this just my experience, how did other people find their return process? Maybe I was unlucky, but it happened more than once.0 -

The company are a bit of a mixed bag, tbh...I am no longer working for them due to issues with my manager, which I won't go into.
*Usually* their customer service is absolutely top rate, so I would put in an official complaint to the company if you're not happy with the service. They are very good at taking feedback on board and in the past have gone out of their way to rectify issues to ensure that customers are satisfied.
As for the stores themselves, unfortunately the service can vary. I always got on really well with the customers (still in touch with some, even now) and the store I worked in had a good vibe, special events in the evenings and a lot of our customers who attended became friends with one another. It was lovely. But you do get some staff/stores where the attentiveness simply isn't there, which is a shame.
Again, encourage your friend to contact the company and explain her experience. The more feedback they get, the easier it is for them to improve.
I still pop in my local store now and again to have a nose around. The sizing and quality can be a bit variable, but the staff should be able to point you in the right direction if you're able to go to a store. If you're ordering online and having issues, tell the company. I'd be very surprised if they didn't do everything they could to put it right.0 -
I have returned items to Taking Shape and have found it best to phone them to process the return, they have been very helpful. The pick up time for returns has been the 1 hour window the same as the deliveries, I bought some jewllery which is gorgeous.
The sale is on at the moment and there are some items with more than 50% off.
I hadn't realised that the range is available on House of Fraser website where there is also a sale.
The 3 cotton dresses I bought which I was initially a bit disappointed in have been perfect for the hot weather we have had and are a great fit with no ironing you just twist and knot them when damp.
Sorry to hear about the bad experience but the quality is so good that it may be worth persevering and contacting them as the previous post suggested.

I was not given a 1 hour slot, either over the phone and via email.
If the prices are the same I might give HoF a go, at least I know that returning is easy and I don't have to spend the whole day waiting at home like I did with TS.
I agree that the quality is really good, compared to most other retailers, so I'll probably end up buying a few bits that I can't find anywhere else, but I really don't have time to chase after them. I might sound harsh but my job involves customer contact and I know how things should be done, so maybe I'm more critical than most people, and I'm also very busy and used to returning stuff with no fuss.
But I'm sure it's just teething problems, so I won't kick up a fuss with them, will give them another chance probably when it's time to buy a nice coat0 -

I really love your idea of plus size businesses in one place for people to check out.
I was wondering if you would/could possibly add my new business to your list. I have a website and Facebook page. sizes are 12-32.
look forward to hearing from you
kind regards jr10740 -

I've just received an order from an american website called Mod Cloth. I was a bit wary of ordering from outside the UK but picked up some lovely clothes in the sale. I signed up to their newsletter and received a code for $20 off when I spent $100.
The clothes are quite quirky and 50's style. I was hit with customs fee of £25 but think it was worth it as everything fitted really well. Got 2 skirts, a pair of levi's jeggings and a dress for about £90 all in. I'd order again0 -
Imcurvy don't deliver outside the USA.0
