Over half of UK women are over Sz 16. If there was any common sense we curvier women should be regarded as the norm on the basis of population numbers. There is a diff between obesity and being bigger than another woman. This model looks on the thin side of normal to me. When I see someone who is over 5ft 8 ish tall and under a size 14 I my instinct is to think she is disproportionally (sp?) thin. I'm a size 22-24 and I'm not interested in being thinner I would look odd, but I do want to be healthy. Does that mean I have double standards?*munches on a choccky bickkie*:p
Funny enough I am the same shape as my mother was at my age, and all the women in our family. Do you think genes are more important in determining our weight and body shape than diet? Are you simmilar to your siblings etc?
Funny enough my GF is the same weight as a size 8/10 as she was at size 14/16, her body shape has changed massively her weight stayed the same. I always find it funny when other women ask her how someone so skinny can eat chips? The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

My Mum was always skinny when she was working but when she became disabled her weight shot right up. She went on Slimming World and went from a 24 to a 12 and tbh she looked ill. She's now a 14-16 and looks much better but both her and my sister are tall and skinny. I'm 5'6 and a size 24 currently but I'm on a horrendously strict diet as I'm sick of my Mum telling me that all my medical problems are down to my weight as well as every single little problem I've got in my life..*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

I have. Bit slow for delivery and the clothes came up really small on me so I sent them back. Took a while for refund to be sorted too. Would order again if there was something I REALLY wanted, but wasn't that impressed.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

I just popped on to say i bought a nice cheap jersey in matalan, Maxi dress with 2 splits £10 they go up to 22-24 so could well be o.k for 26 if in stretchy material.
I hate new look, I shopped there as part of a project, but wouldn't if I wasn't being paid, long tall Sally are also having a sale, but they don't go up very high, size wise.
Have you tried m&s tights, they are supposed to be good. At the moment, I'm searching for a peplum midi for a bday party, will let you know what I find.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

I'm gonna miss AH, although in the last couple of years it hasn't been the same, at one time going into one of their shops was great fun, lots of colourful clothes, smart, smart/casual. Then their target market must have aged 10-15years, and colour was no more....
Although they had a habit of getting trends spectacularly wrong, they would always focus on a couple of colours that were not really the right ones, which I loved it because I didn't feel like a sheep dressed like everyone else following trends....0 -
I think I'm in the Twilight Zone slightly - have a look at the time that Terra Firma edited her post...Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0

Hi everyone
I don't suppose anyone has any idea where to buy leggings in a decent thick material? I had two pairs from I think it was Simply Be which I absolutely loved and wore to death but they're a size 26. I'm now a size 18 and they resemble Nora Batty's stockings :rotfl: I've got some from Primark which I only wear for my workouts as they're horrendous - you can see everything through them  I bought a pair from the Simply Be shop but ive just put them on and they're the same - a bit on the thin sideany advice gratefully received
