I've mentioned Land's End in relation to clothes but they also do some great shoes and their ladies ones go up to a size 9. They are American sizes so tend to be a bit more generous. The range includes everything from hiking books to ballet pumps and you can usually get a good bargain in their sale section.
During the winter I live in their fleece lined squall shoes!0 -

I used to wear goth clothing xx years ago, at uni. As i could not find the size my mother used to make them for me, although loose styles, not corsets etc.
I will probably part with a bit more cash and try them!:d
does anyone know what the usa size for uk 28 is. I found xl3, is that correct?
hi and yes, the 3xl usa size is same as a uk 26/28.;)"I AM NOT SHOUTING"0 -
hi guys for the larger man jacamo seems preety good, i ordered stuff for my dad from here and sem to be good with sizes and lengths, u'll find this @ simply be website.
I like simply be but agree with some of the other posts that the sising can be hit/miss. As a general observation i find plus size clothing always gets the cut wrong, trying to find trousers and tops which actuallt give the room in the arms and legs, the waist size goes up but theres no change in the leg room (big legs my problem! Oh and arms!) the manufacturers make the waists/bodies larger but dont proportion the arms/legs to match, so i end up having to buy a size or 2 bigger to get them to fit legs and arms.
Very disappointed with new look as my 2 local stores now have a very minimal selection.
There was only 1 thing for this - drastic action, diet time! I dont want to be skinny,(i'm between an 18 top-24 bottom! Depending on outlet) but if i manage 2 lose some weight maybe be able to go shopping again stress free!!! Wish me luck!!
hi, i noticed your post regarding the size difference between your top and bottom.i to am the same, i have lipodema. Google it, see if you could too. If you think you do, let me know and i'll tell you what to do next. Love and best wishes me x"I AM NOT SHOUTING"0 -
Hi all juicy ladies (thats what my hubbie calls us! When i moan he says"fat's the new thin") bless him. I promised a guide on buying in the us, i have to apologise as i have simply not had the time. I would like to add something though to what terraferma said about evans jewellery... I have bought many items from the evans jewellery/hair department and every single thing has fallen apart or tarnished really quickly. Infact evans are really rather crap, they have a monopoly. I have no choice but to shop there for my shoes(uk10 eee), i ordered a pair of black gladiator sandals for my holidays in august, they were sent, they were rubbish, glue on them and the studs were all crooked, i returned them. I ordered another pair(same sandals) and this pair was crap too, one had a buckle hanging off, the quality was soooo poor. At this point i e-mail ed customer services. I returned the shoes...and i couldn't order anymore as they had sold out! They had sold out of all size 10 sandals! Evans took over a month to refund me and i had no sandals. I swore from them i would never buy any clothing from them again..the shoes are an unfortunate necessity. Evans customer service did nothing to help me. Soooo on a lighter note, for those of you who have size 10 feet, but are normal to wide fitting barratts / priceless shoes go to a size 10ee. Next also sell the fold up ballet style shoes that pop in your bag for a night out up to size 9/10! I think its advertised as a xl size but it is 9-10, great when you have aching feet. Another site to add for footwear including all kinds of socks.. Cosyfeet. Last thing i too have a fossil watch, the best buzz of all is knowing that fossil make d&g watches and other designer watches for twice the price. Great quality but max length is 8" on ladies. Avon do longer length bracelets, maybe watches to. The lady who wanted larger bras will also find them in avon..good prices too. Hope these info bits help x"I AM NOT SHOUTING"0

I find asda jeans good, found a Sainsburys in Fokestone when I was on Hols there last year that had the plus size range there stuff was really good & there was a lot of stuff reduced to a few £ in the sale but it seems that very few Sainsburys stock the range not found any in Scotland which is a shame as I thought it was the best supermarket clothes I'd come across in larger sizes. Amplebosom are good for bra's I find the Goddess range really good. Figleaves can be good too.
I've had some lovely jewellery from Evans contradicting what others have said, their jeans are rubbish though, some of the clothes are ok but mostly overpriced, I did get this Beth Ditto top for £20 the other week, it's a bit glam for me, but it looks ok on & purple is my colour so shouls be good for Xmas nights out, just need a necklace to go with it, maybe a nice silver heart pendant. but not sure?
Minxwolf definitely interested in your range, will keep an eye out for that, by the way it's your fault my mil fell out with me last week!!!Booo!!!0 -

I've looked on amazon but most of the descriptions say 'standard length' which i'm pretty sure doesn't fit me!
Thanks in advance x"I AM NOT SHOUTING"0 -

I'm going to contradict that and say I love Evans jeans! They're the only ones that seem to fit me properly and I like them because they have stretch in them. I don't think they're overpriced, I noticed some for £15 this week which is only a bit dearer than the supermarkets (I paid £10 for my last pair from Sainsburys). A lot of their other stuff is overpriced though so I only buy when there's a sale on!0 -
Hi folks
I wonder if you could help me please? I would realy like to buy a 3 in 1 jacket (the outer layer is waterproof, inner layer is a fleece, both can be worn separately or together) but am having trouble finding a good quality one in a larger size. I'm a size 20 - 22 and have been unsuccessful in my quest so far.
Any ideas please?
Thank you0
