Morning
Need to get my bottom in gear for some shopping today. A winter coat, a sweater, a cardigan, pinstripe knee high socks, stripy socks, new knickers, elbow length formal gloves and some black&white platform shoes are all on my list
I loved the asymmetric coats at Joe Brown but they only go to 18. I need a 26/28 depending on the store. Does anyone know where I might be able to get one? Preferably streamlined and asymmetric, I don't want to add any bulk. And warm, of course!
Thanks
YES! lol I am a Joe Brown's addict. Simply Be do it. If it's your first order you should get 20% off. Otherwise try WXKR9 which I think is just fr Joe Brown's stuff.
There is also a 25% off code for Simple Be, not sure how long for: LRKA8
Not sure if good or bad that I got that
**Note of advice: If unsure on size or choice, order them all. You have 14 days to return to Simplybe, but cannot re-use the discount code to get a replacement, plus you would have to pay delivery twice. Much better to order a few sizes and return things **
Hope it's of useStill looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -

Thanks so muchI'm lusting after this: Joe Browns Ultimate Coat - the reviews aren't great, wish I could try it on in-store but with free returns, can't grumble too much.

I was in Sainsburys yesterday and had a look at those new clothes designed by Gok for Tu. Now, I'm not a big fan of his, and not all the styles appealed to me, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fabrics used. Yesterday I saw dresses up to size 22, I'm not sure if they go bigger.
There was one dress I did like very much, and would consider purchasing. It's £45 and comes in red or black, a fitted, knee length dress with a little mandarin collar and a slight v neck. The only thing that puts me off is that it has one of those elastic liner slips built in to it. I had a dress like that previously, and it was a right pain, because the liner kept riding up all the time.
Just bought the Gok Wan wrapover dress. I am having great difficulty getting the elastic liner vest on....the dress fits perfectly without it but I would like to try it with the vest aswell. I asked a friend who is 2 sizes smaller then me to try it....it took 2 of us to prize it on her ! Anyone else had this problem ?0 -
Is the liner detachable? I'd rather go without it. Can't imagine it will be comfy if it's that blimmin' tight!Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

I'm loving this forum - its great to know alternatives to Evans whose quality has definately gone downhill over the years.
I'm a size 26/28 and am finding it impossible to get opaque tights for winter - I've tried Feminine Plus, Simply Be, Viva la Diva but even the tights that are packaged as being up to size 32 don't go anywhere near - the crotch ends half way up my thighs and I'm only 5'6".
Also can anyone recommend where to get good quality professional suits for my size?0 -
Does anyone know where I can buy some good quality pyjamas? All the ones I seem to buy don't last. I'm looking for some nice flannel ones but they don't seem to come in sizes above 24! Am in need of a size 28. (26 if they have any elastine). Otherwise just any decent quality ones would do preferably in dark colours :-)Grocery Challenge: January: /£2140

If you are after quality Lands End is a good place. They don't come cheap, but the last a long time.
(just had a look, nothing on sale, pity, normal prices are really high, houkdeals have one code, worth trying, and you can have cashback from TopCashBack)
Other options are Simply Be/JD Williams sites, and Very/Littlewood. Quality vary, it can be good or so-so, but you can return if you are not happy.0 -

try these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Plus-Size-XXL-Black-70-Denier-Opaque-Tights-Hips-60-/310351613956?pt=UK_Hosiery_Socks&hash=item484265d004
Haven't tried them myself but they are supposed to fit up to 60in.
another option:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XL-XXL-XXXL-Plus-Size-28-32-120-DENIER-OPAQUE-TIGHTS-choice-3-colours-/140620572921?pt=UK_Hosiery_Socks&var=&hash=item6673cef4da
Please come back and let us know how they fit, tights are a problem for me to (but I'm normally OK with Evans')0
