yorkie_cook wrote: »BIB stuff is decent quality, my "interview suit" came from H&M and still looks good after a number of years, the problem that I have is that their trousers are 33 inch inside leg so I had to take up the hem. Some of the stores do stock the range, Leeds used to have a large section at the front by one of the doors but this then got moved to the back & reduced in size
I bought a few things in H&M ages and ages ago, and the quality was very good but the sizing very small. But then they did a refit of my local store, and now the shop is dark and ugly and really badly laid out and I can't find anything at all, not even sure if they still have the BIB range in. I used to like buying kids hair accessories in there, but rarely set foot in there nowA waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
Im really not keen on the BiB range, most of the stuff is bland and dark coloured and deeply unattractive, however occasionally they do get one or two nice bits in - I have a black cotton t-shirt with crocheted sleeves from there which is quite nice and a black going out top which is very deceptive!
Its got a cowl neck and ruching and really pulls my stomach in but its comfy as well! I also bought the dress I wore to OH's stepbrother's wedding there which is gorgeous, I wanted a floor length maxi to hide my tattoos on my feet and ankles, but because I'm quite tall most of them stopped short of my ankles. However this particular dress was truly floor length and when I stood still covered my feet completely - brilliant. It looked nice as well - was a lovely print. Only gripe is that the sizing was a bit dodgy - normally a size 22 but the size 24 was tight on top (it did fit though)*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -
I agree.
Also Littlewoods Clearance shops have loads of larger sizes at silly prices. I got a gorgeous paisley print tunic for £1 & Ann Harvey linen trousers for a £1 this week.
Thanks for this went to one nearest to me today (Heckmondwike), prepared to be disappointed as when I got there I found it to be quite a small store, but I came away with 3 pairs of jeans for a pound and another pair with a belt for £3 but when I got to the till there was an extra 10% off so for £5.40 I got 4 pairs of jeans0 -

I was in Sainsburys yesterday and had a look at those new clothes designed by Gok for Tu. Now, I'm not a big fan of his, and not all the styles appealed to me, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fabrics used. Yesterday I saw dresses up to size 22, I'm not sure if they go bigger.
There was one dress I did like very much, and would consider purchasing. It's £45 and comes in red or black, a fitted, knee length dress with a little mandarin collar and a slight v neck. The only thing that puts me off is that it has one of those elastic liner slips built in to it. I had a dress like that previously, and it was a right pain, because the liner kept riding up all the time.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -
I saw the Gok Wan collection yesterday and was pleasantly suprised. Really liked the pleated palazzo trousers, nice and long, flat over the tummy, quality crepe fabric, decent risee for £30. Overall the quality of the collection is good. Looks like they only go up to size 22. I'd like him to do a range in 22+. Didn't see much knitwear though which is what I was looking for, but it's early days. Will wait and see.0

Morning
Need to get my bottom in gear for some shopping today. A winter coat, a sweater, a cardigan, pinstripe knee high socks, stripy socks, new knickers, elbow length formal gloves and some black&white platform shoes are all on my list
I loved the asymmetric coats at Joe Brown but they only go to 18. I need a 26/28 depending on the store. Does anyone know where I might be able to get one? Preferably streamlined and asymmetric, I don't want to add any bulk. And warm, of course!
