  • Gave the wingz a full days run and they didnt fall down at all. Even when I had a hand bag on my shoulder, I am very happy.
Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.

    Hello ladies,

I've been looking for some younger styles in larger sizes and have found two potential sources for you all to try.
Forever 21 http://www.forever21.com/UK/Product/Category.aspx?br=f21&category=faith_main [the prices and the styles are attractive to me] and H&H BiB (Big is Beautiful) http://www.hm.com/gb/subdepartment/LADIES#N=4294961674 (This one needs to have the BiB 'concept' selected within the filter options)
I've had a look at Evans, M&S, Ann Harvey & Simply Be and find they all share a similar theme - bland or crazy. There seems to be no middle ground! Evans are getting more of a clue by defining women by their body shape rather than just their size but I still find so much of their clothing to be poorly designed or made with poor quality materials.
I recently went in search of a new suit and was disappointed that neither Evans nor M&S could offer me choice. Viscose anyone?! Anyway, have a look and tell me what you all think.
Also, if anyone knows of any other high street stores with big girl fashion ranges, I'm all eyes/ears!

BIB stuff is decent quality, my "interview suit" came from H&M and still looks good after a number of years, the problem that I have is that their trousers are 33 inch inside leg so I had to take up the hem. Some of the stores do stock the range, Leeds used to have a large section at the front by one of the doors but this then got moved to the back & reduced in size

    :)
Excellent thread - I'm happy with being round so could I add to this thread with my favourite clothes I buy?

I do shop at Evans but only buy the cotton items. Getting quite limited now with so many synthetic fabric clothes :(

Love Joe Browns - such lovely colours & unusual

I also buy from QVC - a lot of their clothes go up to 3XL (30-32)
Quacker Factory - fab colourful clothes. Excellent jackets.
Diane Gilman - good long cotton tunics. Indigo Moon for appliqued clothing. Avoid Butler & Wilson stuff it's very small sized. Also Artscape do all over scenic design t shirts but they shrink dramatically in length in the first wash.
Casual & Co for winter coats
Another favourite is 1647 but a little bit pricey nowadays & mainly viscose

Not everyone's cup of tea but I've been finding great stuff from charity shops, I am addicted. I have bought 2 items new with tags, one from simply be and one from George. A John Rocha coat for £4 and a lovely long chunky cardigan for £3.75. I never buy t shirts, vest tops etc from charity shops unless brand new as they tend to look worn and you can get them cheap new anyway. Best value are jeans, coats, dresses and jumpers. Also boots but I'm a size 9 and not seen any yet. You might have to look often, as most shops dont have a huge range of large sizes.

    :D

    I agree.
Also Littlewoods Clearance shops have loads of larger sizes at silly prices. I got a gorgeous paisley print tunic for £1 & Ann Harvey linen trousers for a £1 this week.
