I boought wingz to match a dress.

Dress was ok, felt cheap but was long enough for me (at 5'11) and did okay for the wedding i wanted it for. I liked the adjustable straps.

Wingz were rubbish... nasty fabric; and huge on the shoulders so they slipped down leaving a gap between them and the dress straps. Looked soooo stupid. Bear in mind tho although i'm fat and big boobed i have really tiny shoulders and everything slips off!

Also bought trousers from the same seller. Nasty cheap and didn't fit. I should have really sent them back but slung 'em.

All in all not impresssed. Sorry (but then i am odd shaped so often things don't fit.)

    oh what a pity :(

My shoulders a quite broad, so hopefully I should be ok, plus I dont mind if they need a bit of adjustment.

I only ordered the wingz, so still waiting for them to arrive, plus I dont plan on wearing them with a dress, might make a difference for me.

  • I didn't know M&S had brought back their Plus Size range doesn't look that exciting might be handy for some basics. Might be tempted by the cashmillion tunic. look's a lovely colour.

    Thanks for posting this.
The most boring, uninspiring, dull collection I've ever seen.
Makes Ann Harvey look like a trendy, colourful, edgy brand... They probably target similar markets, but the difference is huge.
Can't understand why M&S think big gals only buy dark colours, baggy clothes.
(I bet they will drop large sizes again, thinking they don't sell, because the keep giving us crxp...)

    I want PER UNA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Newleaf, I am so sorry about your experience. I shouldn't have linked to the site, but they did look like they had some great stuff. What a pain! I hope the bra works out ok.

    :(

Sorry, I have been away on holiday and only just saw this. Please don't be upset, you found something that looked good and shared it, there's no problem with that at all.
My bra came a few days after I last posted, and it was fine. It's just the appalling customer service that was an issue. I wouldn't have minded if they had responded to one of my numerous enquitries, it seems a strange way of doing business. However, all's well that ends well. :)

I would love plus Per Una.

Find Marks so good for quality and washabilty.
Ann Harvey i don't get on with - i'm the wrong shape for pretty much everything they make.
I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler
  • Last plus thing I got from M&S was very shoddy, a pair of black joggers you could almost see through!, basically they have stayed the same price for 5 years but the quality has gone down *sigh*

AH's sizing is larger than usual for bottoms, I take one size smaller for trousers etc, but their tops are Ok most of the time.
Yes MS is good in terms of quality, and they have some lovely stuff. A few years back they did have some good pieces, but they don't seem to be able to get it right for plus size (see previous posts for my rants about how they used to display them in shops etc).
  • My Wingz arrived!

They came really quickly, well I expected them to take a while, what with being on the TV this week and all.

They are 100% what i hoped for. They look so good with a vest top on. I couldnt wait to try them all on.

They all fit fine, I got 2 sets in a size 3 and 1 set in a 2 and they all seem comfortable. (I am a size 24)

I am going to give them a full days run tomorrow, so i will update more then, but for now I am very happy.

(the only down side is some of the material isnt the best, but it was what i was expecting, the chiffon ones are very good though)
