I know! Heh heh!
Had a good scoot around the car boot but it was slim pickings indeed. Very busy (and windy!) and lots of stalls but the quality wasn't great. I did manage to get:
A black patent leather satchel bag with gold buckles. It says 'Moda Italia Metropolis' on it - no idea what that means but it's very pretty! £1.50
100% silk white, navy and yellow dress with net skirt by Trinny and Susannah, £1.50
Grey cotton Miss Selfridge jersey dress, £1.50
Can't wait for next week!0 -

Well done on your bargains everyone and enjoy your travels, Goanmad
Can't wait until the local car boot starts on sunday (keeping fingers crossed for good weather)0 -
Have been lurking on this thread whilst my local car boots were closed for the winter. There are some good charity shops in a nearby town but with 1 little one who gets easily bored, and another little one in a pushchair with grabby hands, it's just too much hard work! So I sneak off on a Sunday morning once a month (or twice if I can) and grab a quick 'sanity session' where I can rummage at my leisure
A bustling car boot is like heaven to me lol. I seem to come home with tons for the little ones and usually nothing for me though??!
Had a FAB bargain yesterday though, a chap had a stall selling mostly ladies clothing, all decent names but sadly not my size. When I got there a woman with an armful of 6 or 7 items was asking the price and was told 50p an item, at which she threw the stuff down in disgust and stomped off saying "£3 for that lot, you must be joking'. Eh?? It was Next, Animal, M&S etc, that was in the shops this winter, in great condition. Well when she left I had a rummage in a big shopping bag that was under the table where she had been - Diesel, Monsoon, and lots of gorgeous going-out clothes (I so wished I was a size 12, or did the buy-to-resell thing!). At the very bottom of the bag was 2 perfumes, still cellophane sealed brand new, one my all-time favourite and one that a friend of mine (with a significant birthday in June that I have to get a gift for) really likes. I asked how much they were, bearing in mind the price stickers were still on the bottom, £39 and £32, and nearly fell over when he said "£3 for the two?":rotfl:My hand was shaking while I handed over the money lol. Very chuffed with that.
I can only imagine he was a jilted boyfriend taking some revenge by selling all that lovely stuff so cheap, or he picked up the wrong boxes that morning and his other half is going to kill him later :rotfl:0 -
I bought a double umbrella last week on an internet store. It is really lovely and fantastic. May you guys have a try.:easter_os:easter_os0
