Thanks to all for your kind wishes. My dad died on Sunday so I've not been on much:(

Mum and brother took me shopping earlier in the week to try and take my mind off things and I bought a 1950s red & black hat with black veil.

Our bootsale should be starting this week but the weather forecast is not good. To be honest I could have done with getting out for an early morning rummage.

Sorry to hear your news, JesaRose. Kind thoughts and love to you and your family.
A boot sale would be just the thing to lift the spirits along with a walk in the fresh air and the prospect of some bargains. Let's keep our fingers crossed for a let-up in the weather.

Went to a Salvation Army coffee morning and tabletop sale this morning, was in a really small room with only a couple of tables, and everything was all ordered neatly - ladie's tops were folded and lined up. I think I preferred the other jumble sale where it was all piled high! However, I got two large dinner plates for 20p each and a small square bowl with an oriental cranes design on for 50p.

On the way back I stopped at the local market which is half regular market and half car boot stalls and I got a lovely old white metal recipe book stand in a French/shabby chic style for £3.50, haggled down from a fiver :)
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

Headed into town today for a quick browse round the CS's and a coffee in Costa. Managed to get a Subbutteo set for £1.50 and a vintage Colditz game for £2.50. Both should make a good ebay profit hopefully.

The carboot this morning was a bit quiet. Got a ditsy print dress for £1 and a strapless sundress with folk embroidery for £1. OH bought me a BNWT satin wiggle dress from warehouse for £8 but it's too small so will have to ebay it. It's soo nice too:(.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, JesaRose. I hope you are ok xx

I was dragging the OH around the Ideal Home Exbo yesterday so no CS for me.

My Mum called me from a local church jumble (gutted I couldn't go!) and told me she's picked up a few bits for me & the OH: x3 Ralph Lauren polo shirts in their packets for 50p each (not sure if they're the real mccoy yet, what a bargain if they are!), a pair of Nike "Dry-Fit" Trackie bottoms with the original tags for 20p and a lovely shabby chic key holder for 10p. Haven't picked them up yet, but I was dead chuffed...

Poor Mum found curtains which she fell in love with, but unfortunately there was only one and not a pair... so she came home empty handed! :(

British Summer Time is officially here - or car boot season as I affectionately call it! :)

Back from Carboot today and didn't get as much but did get some amazing boots and shoes.

A pair of antique red leather edwardian style ankle boots -brand new never worn from Clarks that I had actually almost bought full price at £80-got for £3.
A pair of really pretty little kitten heels from Miss Sixty for £2
A pair of Irregular Choice Purple and Gold suede long boots for £8. I took a chance on these but they are actually way too big. It makes me sad:(. I will have to sell them on.
A leapard print mini skirt for my DD for £2
A Nude last season Top Shop dress unworn- it cost me £5 but it's lovely.

Oh oh oh meds, what size are the boots? !!! :D

No 'shopping' for me this weekend, busy with Guides, football, decorating cooking and gardening :(. I've got to start saving some money too but if I happen to come across something for the house, then that's not strictly naughty as we'd need it :p.

Looking forward to Easter weekend when we can get out and see family and visit the car boots local to them (they're pretty good ones too).

Might get a browse in the CS during next week if the weather is ok for walking and I get time.
