Just got back from the local charity shop and I managed to have a slight rummage and got a cross-over tan bag for 50p, it's not branded but it will do, doesn't even look used! When i got home I saw the 'thing you get in new bags and shoes-like a sachet of salt' (sorry, don't know what its called) so it's definitely new! I'm so happy I finally got the courage to have a proper look and found something!:j nothing really like some of the finds we see on this board but I'm getting there with practice!;)
Keep your finds and stories coming!:)
Is it silica gel?
Anyway, from yesterday's charity shop browsing I managed to get a load of vintage board games, all complete - one of them was 45 years old
Only cost £8 for 6, so I'm happy0 -

Ooh thats good. Even if they aren't complete you can sell the pieces as spares or for Altered Artists to use. Or use the boards to make covers for homemade journals. I love old games.
goanmad- I've always fancied The Big Chill. We're going to Rockness, Belladrum and hopefully Loopalu. Then looking to work one of the small festies if we can.
finished my refashioned suede cushion cover- it is sitting on my sofa right now- not bad.
Tomorrow i'm hoping to go to a carboot if i can get up early enough and visit a couple of charity shops i've not been to for ages.Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)
Grocery challenge November : £291.65/300.00 NSD 10
Grocery challenge December : £0/240.00 NSD0 -

Evening all...
Todays lunch break CS finds include a Topshop Nude coloured Mack for a tenner (quite pricey but most of the charity shops around my area unfortunately are - savvy volenteers that know their brands...Boohoo!) Still a bargain as I dread to think what it cost new!
Also got a black Lipsy prom dress - Lipsy dresses usually retail around £60 and I picked it up for £4.50.... so thats my saturday night clobber sorted!
A glass/mirrored jewellery box with gold demask & cherub print - right up my street and perfect for the bedroom for only £3!
& the best bargain of all, tucked away on the sale rail which I nearly missed, a Bathing Ape (Bape) tee shirt, band new with tags for £1. This is a Japanese designer who my boyfriend absoultely loves (seen on the likes of NERD & a lot of US Hip Hop Bands...) Its not widely known, but my boyfriend spends a fortune in the London boutique where tee costs around £60 new (madness if you ask me!)
I had to call him straight away and interupt him at work to tell him about my find! Even had the Japanese Yen price tag still attached. I'm deff in the other halfs good books!
Hope everyone has a sucessful chazzing weekend ... I look forward to reading your finds! x0 -

I will do, thanks for the headsupDon't think I'm going to bother trekking to Redcar again until the Summer so was looking for something a bit closer, just hope I can get a bus or something to this one as I don't drive
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0 -
Great finds, gang! Keep them coming!
I'm between jumble sales at the moment, got back from one about 30 minutes ago and shall be leaving for the next one in a bit.
Some jumble sales aren't fantastic but there's always something to make the cold wait outside the church hall and the early start worth it...don't be disheartened, practice makes perfect (and there's a few tips and tricks on my blog if you have time for a read).
So far this morning's finds (All 10p per item):
Beige star print trenchcoat (For my Mum)
1940's plaid dressing gown

Goanmad has told me to post here - she has got me into all this in the first place.
I lost my jumble sale virginity today and got 3 things, a brown wraparound top, a red skater dress and a pink silk top from Whistles, all 20p each. I'm quite happy with the first two things but the whistles top is too big so I'll ebay it.
Disappointed with my jumble sale experience (only 2 tables of clothes and 10 pairs of shoes!) I went to the chazzas and got a pair of new red pumps and a red trench coat for £10.
I have a blog too but far less interesting than Goanmads!0 -
I had a pretty good weekend after all. yesrterday I did a lot of chazzas with not much luck but did get a brand new Top Shop coat for £1.50 and don't think I'll bother going back to that area again.
Today was better- 2 carboots. I got:
Cute floral Asos dress £1.20
Amazing woolly bag with wood handles by Billy Bag for £2.00 ( I love this)
Laura Ashley lace trimmed cardy £2.00
Cute floral brooch, Charm Bracelet, and another brooch that matched bracelet plus a clutch decorated with buttons all for £5.
6 good CD's, 2 books for my OH, a cute coat with swallow tattoos on shoulders, a crop Che Guevara print Tee, a chinese style silk jacket, a wrap hippy skirt all for £1.00.
A piece of lovely plum colour floral cord fabric to make a bag from for 20p
2 wrapped ink pads and a pack of stamps and acrylic block all for £2.00 for my new obsession of papercrafts.
Oh and an amazing peaked hat that my daughter has already claimed for £2.00.
Pretty good haul- very happy. Alot of this will be kept for me and my teenage daughter. the rest will be Ebayed.
Glad everyone is finding good stuff. I can't believe the prices you're paying at jumblesales it's so cheap:).Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)
