More excellent finds for MSE bargain hunters!

A trawl of the charity shops this morning produced a large "Joy by Jean Patou" shower gel still in it's cellophane wrapping and a bargainous £3 (Debenhams price: £22.50) which will be a great Xmas pressie for a friend's mum and I also found a Lakshmi devotional pendant for 95p.

I went to my first car boot a few weeks ago, and got loooooads of books, for a maximum of 50p each. I got one for 10p that would be a few pounds on ebay (Nietzche). Also got a gorgeous silver plated bangle for 25p, which I've been wearing a lot.

How do you find out about the car boots? I know of a couple of big ones, but that's all. And when do they generally stop for winter, the two here say they run till October but not when and I don't fancy a half hour drive out to find it's not on.

I'm planning a good charity shop trawl in the next few weeks, I've got two routes planned out depending on whether I decide to go out of town or not.

Thanks so much for that Ellidee, I've found loads I didn't know about that are open all year round! So I can keep getting my bargain fix all through winter.

It's a great website but always try and phone first if there's a number listed as the information can sometimes be a little outdated.

    Another superb website is: http://www.charityshops.org.uk/
I use this if I'm planning a charity shop mission in a new town.

In the CS where I work yesterday I got a posh Wallis black and white maxi dress, not my normal(?!) style but I love it £6 and a Body Shop White Musk gift set containing body spray, eau de toilette, shower gel and body lotion £2.50.
    Very happy =)

Frank Usher cobolt blue silk top covered in black beads in a beautiful pattern. Gorgeous. Would cost £100 in Topshop for something similar, I paid £4.99 in a chazza! Very happy.
