  • I didn't get much this weekend, i went to the boot sale in hope to get some bubble wrap but the man that sells it wasn't there this week.

I managed to get a huge bag of children's clothes (all Next) including a coat for 3.50, so i have clothed my daughters for the winter.

    Hello All!

Just back from the Thursday boot sale, what a day!

    Today's bargains were:

£766 worth of Urban Outfitters goodies (belts, necklaces, bangles, nail polish, bags, head bands and alice bands) for £20 :j - Xmas pressies sorted!!
    6 copies of "Everybody's Weekly" from 1934 - £3
6 TopShop ribbed vests/ 2 American Apparel tops/ 3 vintage fringed hippy skirts/ This seasons' TopShop ruffled dress/ All Saints denim shorts/ 2 Indian beaded Salwar tops/ 4 new bras in my size/ girls' Hilfiger jeans/ Ralph Lauren hoodie/ Monsoon cardi/ ASOS "Kate borrowed my tee-shirt" bag still in cellophane wrapper/ 2 French Connection tops/ Faux fur wrap/ Vintage "Chelsea Girl" high waisted trousers/ silver leather gloves - £14 the lot (the lady is there every week and keeps stuff aside for me)
Vintage 80's Simon Jeffrey gold dress £1
ASOS ditsy print tea dress 50p
    TopShop funnel neck coat 50p
    Huge Indian brass earrings 50p
10 pairs of handmade beaded and embroidered new court shoes £5
2 foot tall burnished brass caparisoned elephant statue (from India) £3
    Oasis pink leather bag 20p
2 vintage silk souvenier scarves 40p

I shall keep the American Apparel tops, the elephant, some of the TopShop vests, the bras and the brass earrings. The magazines will be cut up and the illustrations used for decoupage work on an old screen and the souvenier scarves will be made into cushion covers. BF is keeping the All Saints shorts and my mum will probably want the TopShop coat and the fur wrap. The rest are to be eBayed!

The poor guy selling the Urban Outfitters stuff hadn't sold anything until I came along and was thrilled with his £20!

It's such a weird little car boot sale because it's held in the week so it only tends to be old folks wandering about - shame for the sellers but fantastic for me, no competition whatsoever. :j

I am so jealous of the Urban Outfitters stuff (and everything else too)! Any idea why he was selling all that? It seems such a lot to sell for so little. Well done for you though
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
  • Last Saturday I was working in a town where I haven't looked at the charity shops for years, so i took time to have a hunt. Nothing much, except for a little jug in the shape of a billy-goats head - the spout is the mouth and the horns form the handle. No marks, but it is hard-paste porcelain, hand-painted and in good condition, and well worth £3!

My antiique dealer friend had a look at it last night, it's a cracker.. ("You can add that one to your pension scheme")
  • I read the previous thread in awe of Goanmad and her finds! Inspired I decided to "get me a bargain" and found a full length black wool/cashmere mix coat this morning in charity shop for £8. Perfect fit and nice and long, should keep me warm all winter.

I probably wouldn't have gone out and found it if it wasn't for this thread, thanks everyone:j
