I love it when you've got a list of things you're looking for and you spot an item on your list. Just like treasure hunting. On my car boot wish list is an electric food mixer (saw one on Sat but it was a cheap modern one, I would like an old Kenwood if poss), an outside broom, kilner jars, clothes for me, old pyrex, baskets, cookie cutters, icing nozzles, baking tins and lots and lots of other things too!“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

I always find that if I go out for a particular item, I never find it!
A couple of years ago, I scoured every local car boot all season for an old sewing machine. I didn't see one at all. I gave in and bought a cheap new one. On the very first car boot of last year, there were 2 sewing machines on the very first stall I looked at! I'm after a Kenwood chef this year, won't say it aloud though, just in case :rotfl:0 -

This always happens to me too! I really wanted a bumbo baby seat but never ever saw one until it was way too late for my little boy - bought it anyway as it was a bargain let him try it and he hated it so sold it at a profit on local mother and baby site.0 -

Our local one was back on today and not one stall
The sign did say 4 March but the weather has been awful (it's only a quick walk and I wasn't expecting much!)

First jumble sale of the year yesterday - here's my haul:-
Butterfly by Matthew Williamson Bag - 50p
Jane Shilton Leather handbag - 50p
Lots of clothing, mostly Boden, Joules, Karen Millen, LK Bennett - 50p per item, probably spent around £7.00. (have just lost over a stone in weight, so needed a whole new wardrobe!)
Five rolls of spotty wallpaper (very Emma Bridgewater in style) - £1. I have no idea what I will do with this as I live in a rented house, but was too pretty to leave!
Denim playsuit for 11 year old DD - 50p
Two brand new gap shirts for DS - 50p
Cashmere jumper for DH - 50p :j He's wearing it today - looks fab!
Next jumble sale in two weeks time - can't wait:D
Also met a fellow MSE-r in the queue who'd read my posts! :beer:0 -
What a fantastic haul!! You can't beat that satisfied feeling when you leave knowing you've managed to grab £££s worth of stuff for a pittance!!0

Went to my first boot sales of 2012 today. Didn't get much as they are never huge at this time of the year. I got Dannii Minogue's autobiography on paperback for 20p and a Nevermind the Buzzcocks board game for £10

Went to my local one today, was absolutely HUGE. Came home with a lovely hand knitted scarf for £1.00, two IKEA mirrors for £1.00 each, a Next suede handbag for £1.00 and some glass dessert dishes for £2.00. If you had the time and money today, you could have bought loads of lovely stuff.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.
one life, live it!0
