WOW!!1 Well done you.:T:T When I do a car boot I get between £40 and £80. Where did you do your car boot?

Now that would have been good - I'd be there every week if that was true! :rotfl:

No it was in a very large multi storey car park in Edinburgh which is very very popular with lots of buyers - it's where I go myself. A lot of the stuff I was selling I'd bought from there anyway and either had worn it and was fed up with it or didn't fit me right. So I wasn't really bothered what it went for as long as I got rid!! Clothes certainly seemed to be very popular and I had tons of clothes to sell. And I must have had about 20 pairs of shoes and sandals that went for 3.00 each - all in very good condition though:D
  • Hello!
This is my first post, how exciting......well, maybe not!

My and the wife are avid Charity shop attendees and we are keen to go out on Saturday and take part in our have past-time.

Any ideas of towns in Suffolk or Essex with loads of Charity shops?
We've done Ipswich several times so we are looking for another town!

    thanks

Suggest looking on charity websites and then choosing towns which have the most. Alternatively start with the posher areas eg Suffolk (lots of Londoners with second homes there).

Try this site, it's really good, you type in a town and it lists all the charity shops in that town...I've used it a few times when I've been out and about, it's really helpful. Sometimes I select random towns in my region and make a trip out for the afternoon specifically to visit the charity shops. HTH. And congratulations on your first post!

A little bit late but if you decide to go out again Bury St Edmunds and Diss are pretty good :)

  • First post, very interested in hearing other people great purchases !

My best buy ever has been a NES which is a 80's Nintendo console, it has the original box and polystyrene aswell ! I only paid £3 and they fetch around £30 - £50 on ebay, it's mint condition. The funny thing is me and my friends were on a road trip to the peak district and we happened to stumble across the boot sale in Bakewell at early hours, very lucky ! :D
