Found a jumble sale yesterday - yaaay!!:j
Managed to grab a Laura Ashley cord floral skirt, a navy Dannimac raincoat and a gorgeous Phase Eight blouse for my mum, some Topshop t shirts and a pair of white Diesel skinny jeans for me!!
Oh and some feather cushions to replace our tatty Primark ones!!
And lots and lots of books - you can't beat a jumble sale for a great selection of books - especially at 4 for £1.00.
Was very happy:D:D

Yesterday was the yearly scout sale - we got there half an hour early and was number 104 in the que (kids don't get a ticket so there were probably 150 ppl infront including kids). This is the third year i have been after stumbling across it by accident!
Didn't get as much as last year but still some fab stuff:-
Baby Party Dress - great for my 1 year old for my friends wedding next month! 50p
Pen pot - 10p ... I need one of these for work and wanted one of the old fashioned different height tube ones so am well chuffed with this pretty boring purchase!
Baby Body warmer (pumpkin patch) - 50p ...have been looking on ebay for one but with postage they were all £4 plus so this is fab.
Baby denim dress, In the night garden hoodie, dressing gown, M&S Knitted dress with co-ordinating tshirt - 50 p each.
Nike Backpack - 50p... will be a spare for my sons school bag.
But the best bargain as a Toysrus Bruin footmuff - 50p.... my hubby pulled the zip of our ||£30 cosy toes that came with our buggy when he was doing it up.... was so annoyed with him....was looking at getting a new zip on ours but was going to be really expensive so this is a brilliant find. It fits our buggy and is very very warm - and has a cool little pocket on the front - was much better than the poorly made original that came with the buggy.
So I didn't buy anywhere near as much as last year (got loads of baby clothes last year but gets harder as not so much around in 1 year old size!) but what I did get was fab - the party dress and cozy toes are both really lovely.
Roll on booty season...........
Was this by any chance in Dunstable?0 -

Anyhow I'm very happy with it!..everything you see in this pic is lovingly gleaned and cleaned from car booties, well, all except the flooring and the building that is!
It looks like a Bokhara rug or copy of and if it feels really silky soft then it's probably wool. These days the rugmakers in Pakistan often use wool from NZ. Genuine Bokharas are handmade in villages.0 -
Bought some DVDs for OH..War (Jason Statham, Jet Li), Fist of Legend (Jet Li), Mercury Rising (Bruce Willis), The Departed (Matt Damon), Inside Man (Denzel Washington), Nowhere to Run (Jean-Claude Van Damme), Mercenary for Justice (Steven Seagal), The Expendables (seemed like most of em), CSI Miami Seasons 1&4 and Airwolf Season 1.
£49.89, Oxfam. If they don't work they'll have them back. Should keep OH happy.0 -

Am in shock - made £265.00 profit at the car boot sale!! Everything was going - books 50p each, DVDs £1.00, or boxed sets for £3.00. I had an almighty shoe and boot clear out and they were very very popular! Clothes were selling for 2.00 and then I dropped the price to 1.00 and they flew off the rail - costume jewellery was being snapped up too. Maybe this is a good time of year to go, I'm not sure but have never experienced anything like it !!
Anyway I'm well cleared out now and have decluttered everything - a very good feeling to have!
