First post, very interested in hearing other people great purchases !
My best buy ever has been a NES which is a 80's Nintendo console, it has the original box and polystyrene aswell ! I only paid £3 and they fetch around £30 - £50 on ebay, it's mint condition. The funny thing is me and my friends were on a road trip to the peak district and we happened to stumble across the boot sale in Bakewell at early hours, very lucky !
very nice find. well done !!!! probably worth more than 50 quid too if its in good nick and boxed.
wish i could find sommat like that.0 -

Had an interesting first visit of the year to the Thirsk Racecourse carbooty. Spotted a pair of brand new, 'Christian Laboutin', red-soled, unworn, black suede shoes with crystal studded platform & heels. I'm pretty sure that they are 'replicas' but they do seem really well made and came with the box, dustbag and spare heel tips. I really love them even if they are fake but sadly they are just a touch on the small side for me, (I could just about cope with trotting from car to venue so long as the rest of the time I was seated:o)....but before I wear them and damage the soles I'm wondering if I should just stick them on a shelf and gaze lovingly at them for a while, unworn, and then try to sell them. In the meantime I was wondering if there is a way of telling if they really are fake, (any Louboutin afficionados on here?). Also, would I be allowed to try to sell them on EBay given their dubious status?
Any advice would be much appreciated. Will attempt to attach a pic......0 -
I'd say chances are they're not real, and if you're not 100% sure then I think putting them on e-bay would be asking for trouble

fab shoes! Like you say, I doubt theyre real as they'd be @£700 I think, you could try comparing them with a photo online of the same style shoes, thats is sometimes enough to tell, I know for bags The Purse Forum ladies will tell you but I'm not sure about shoes. Sorry to not be much help, I wish I'd have found them!!;)0

I bought a few little bargains at the charity shop at the weekend, I have just lost over 5 stone in weight and therefore need a whole new wardrobe, but money is very tight at the moment. So I had a peep in not expecting to find much, as I was used to going in and looking for size 22 stuff, which they didn't seem to have a lot of, only this time I was looking for size 12 and they had lots of stuff:D
I ended up buying
A pair of skinny jeans by South £2.00
A Grey thin knit jumper by Dorothy Perkins £2.00
A pair of Skinny Jeans by Dorothy Perkins £4.95
A BNWT top by Denim & Co £2.00
I was happy with my little haul, I think I will be popping in there more often:cool:grocery challenge Sept 2012 £21/£3990 -
