1 word sums it up LANDFILL !.
Or am I being to picky?
My though is "do people see what sells on eBay etc and the TAT thats left over gets sold in the middle of a field", one example I saw today:- a dalek bubble bath bottle, both lights & eyestalk broken and sucker arm missing, the bloke wanted £1 for it, all the stuff on his table had price tags on them. My wife did get 2 nice pictures for our bedroom for £2 but thats all we got from 3 different CBS !:(
I know what you mean, there can be & often is, a lot of tat at car boot sales.
Daughter & I have been lucky lately & have managed to find several things we like at bargain prices. The most I paid this weekend for an item was £3 for a large Merrythought lion. The least 10p for a Mickey Mouse jelly mould.Best wishes,
Val:hello:0 -

My thoughts precisely at the one I did yesterday (apart from the things on my stall obviously:D)
I did buy a Per Una jumper for £2, but apart from that alot of it was broken, grubby rubbish. I can't imagine who these people think is going to buy that sort of thing!
I had a good day though - I made £70 from my stall :j0 -
Good week so far,
at charity shop,
60x30 fluval fish tank £3,
3 pc games, 3 books, small knife, big tube of sun cream for the horses, 2 sonic screwdrivers , altogether £2,
todays car booty,
1960 singer 185k sewing machine £5,
rolling stones voodoo lounge pc cd rom 50p
vision glass frying pan and lid 50p,
ann summers wonder woman outfit 50p (not for me !!)bnib
and my favorite thing a Sadler mad cow butter dish for £1.50, love it !!!0 -
I adore that butter dish - its fabulous x0
-
Not only a bargain, but a good omen...found a brand new Terramundi saving pot in a charity shop for £1.49 - as i am just starting a DMP i couldn't help but feel it was a sign...0
-
OH the butter dish is superb. I would have snapped that up if I had seen it.
I went to a good booty on monday - got a few bits, incluiding a cotton trader small bag - it looks like the 'pushchair' bag that matches my pram which I have been after for ages as it fits snug behind the handles (petit star zia not much storage space lovely pram though) but they are expensive and hard to get hold of. this little bag fits perfectly 50p!!!!!and it was brand new.
They had lovely stuff on monday - Quinny 3 wheeler and carrycot mint condition £35... always wanted a quinny but have my prams now so no need but a major bargain. Plus a jumperoo £35 mint condition - again these go for alot second hand on ebay, did want one for my bubs but seeing how big it was in real life we could not store it - again a good bargain if you needed it. Got some wool for a mate £2 for 8 identical balls in a lovely purple shade (she often buys my baby bits at charity shop and wont take money for them so I get her wool for her knitting). Baby carrier £2. Vtech cot light and sound thing £1 and I got 7 items of baby clothes for £1.40p!
.... I thought the quality of stuff there was really good - a few tat stalls but not many. In fact hubby who hates boot sales and only went along under sufference also commented on the quality of the stuff available. It just depends on who is selling I suppose. It does amaze me some of the crap people sell, stuff I would feel ashamed binning!
Am after a bumboo - my friend got one for £2 from a boot sale .... I will find one!!!!!!!!!Debt free May 2016 (without the support of MSE forum users that would never have been possible - thank you all)0
