I really miss having the option of going to car boots! They don't do them over here sadly. But nice finds by you all. I always worry that I will get a bit carried away at them though

I agree with you-some charity shops in Bristol are ridiculously expensive-I saw M&S summer dresses for £35.00-and not new.
But there are still some bargains you can find-my recent purchase in Oxfam was genuine Radley messenger bag for £10.00-I'm usually not paying that much but it's exactly what I wanted for summer so I'm definately keeping it
  • Jumble sale in my village today - I mostly bought clothes at this one, including three big carrier bags full of stuff from Jigsaw, Oasis, Next, Boden, Abercrombie and - here are the REAL bargains - a couple of Nicole Fahri bits, still with the tags on and originally costing in the region of £100 - £150 each!

I also bought a 1970's glass jug to go with my 70's stash, patent leather knee boots (christened "!!!!!!-boots" by my charming DH) and a few books.

    Total spend.......£3:D

Had a lovely morning at the carboots today! I went to one of my usual ones and tried out two others i'd never been to before. The second one was awful. I paid £1 to park and there were only 10 sellers =[ not good cant believe they charge an entry fee for that, whereas the other one i went to is two fields big and you dont have to pay entry fee.

Anyway got a few bargains despite it being freezing this morning

:(My haul was pretty bad today, got there at 8ish I think and only managed to get 5 plants for £1 and a strawberry plant for 35p. Turned down a BN pair of brown wedges for £3 because I have far too many. Also, turned down a BNWT Dorothy Perkins clutch for £2, (again, already have one similar) What surprised me today was that I didn't really feel excited or get the car booting buzz I usually get before I go.:(
But, I'm planning on going to some CSs' next week so might find some treasures!;)

Today was my third week working in my local Cancer Research shop and I'm really enjoying it. I've only really been on the till so far, but I spied a lovely set of Japanese Kokeshi dolls on display today - they look brand new and were only £5, so I picked these up.

I'm going in again on Wednesday and will be sorting out donations - I expect that will be an eye opening experience. However, we aren't allowed to help ourselves to stuff - which is only right. You can ask if you can have something but the manager will decide the price and ensure it's paid for through the till.

I didn't know what to expect when I started but it's great - and although I hope to find a full-time job pretty soon, I think I will do everything I can to keep on volunteering.
