I am soooo :j:j:j:j:jthe car boot was quieter than last week, we got there earlier too and there didn't seem that much.

I wanted a world globe for my son who is almost 6. My grasp of geography is shocking  so I wanted him to be able to improve his, as I am no help at all.

I found a globe at today's car boot. It's a leapfrog interactive globe. £80 brand new, going on ebay for £50, I paid........£4. I changed the batteries and it all works, can't believe my [son's] good fortune.

    Other buys today:

    ELC shape sorter - £1
    Highchair toy - 20p
    2 puzzles (complete) £2
    Book on sewing - 50p
Morris Minor tin sign - £2

Hardly any baby boy clothes, lots of girl clothes.

:T That is a FANTASTIC bargain! My nephew had one of these for Christmas, they are brilliant, but my sister was cursing the price!

Thanks :) I am so pleased. I've ordered a cable to plug it into the mains, it seems to drain batteries really fast, still cost under £10 in total though :money:

I don't know how you lot do it! All I managed this week was a wicker basket with lid to go on the side to put my pile of 'don't want to throw it but nowhere to put it' post in! Was only £1 and does the job!

Wow! Cool finds everyone, I've not been on here for a while so it's nice to catch up. I'm loving Bibbitybob's finds and BLOG is awesome (I've subscribed!!).

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend if it's a long one or not for you. I had a massive smile on my face yesterday, like I was watching a friend getting married!!

I'm hoping to get to a CBS some time soon but the only good one I know in Nottingham is the one at the racecourse. If anyone knows any others would you mind pointing me in the right direction?!! I won't take all of the good stuff...I'm a good girl and I share! X

Bought a mini micro scooter at the carboot last week for £8, just sold it through netmums for £25 :D

They sell for over £30 + p&p on Ebay but cant be bothered with the hassle and no fees on netmums.com :)

Really pleased as I went to a local car boot this morning (couldnt head to the bigger ones as they are a drive away and I have work at 12) and I bought a picnic basket with a handle on the top for £1.50! I have seen them before for £5-£8 the cheaper ones with damage so I am very pleased about this! I have wanted one for a few weeks as I am hoping to have some picnics with the nice weather :D. Now to find some checked material to replace the current one inside and make a blanket too :D

Went to a local car boot today. Some interesting things in one box of china and odds and sods, found two military notes one german (5 Funf Mark) from 1944 and one italy (1 Lira) from 1943 thought they looked interesting. I also bought an intersting silver/silver plated dish with what looks like two fish kissing and a small shell bellow for a handle. Been trying to find out what it is by googleing but no joy, has Legave & Pasquier written on the back but this didnt help. Can anyone please help on how I can post a picture?

Had fun looking around then looking up on the internet what the things were that I had bought all for less than £1 in total.

  • Just got back from my 3rd car boot sale that I have been to this past week, I felt I had to put "finger to keyboard" and comment on the things that I saw for sale at the 3 car booty's!.
1 word sums it up LANDFILL !.
Or am I being to picky?
My though is "do people see what sells on eBay etc and the TAT thats left over gets sold in the middle of a field", one example I saw today:- a dalek bubble bath bottle, both lights & eyestalk broken and sucker arm missing, the bloke wanted £1 for it, all the stuff on his table had price tags on them. My wife did get 2 nice pictures for our bedroom for £2 but thats all we got from 3 different CBS !:(
