  • Been to two carboots this morning and both were really disappointing, not good considering both carboots are quite large and well established.

    I got

    * 9 various rock/metal cds for my OH £3
    * Warehouse floral skirt £1
    * 2 X New Look floral high waisted skirts £1 each
    * Vintage electric blue/black polka dot tea dress £1
    * Baby pink vintage jumper £1
    * Silver chrome plug socket brand new £1 (doing up our new house atm and i'd been paying £10 per plug socket from B&Q til now :O)
    * Russell Brand New Book £1
    * Various DVDs £1

    There were a few other clothing items that i wanted to buy too, but lots of the sellers were asking high prices this morning. Some of the clothes were lovely (e.g Dorothy Perkins black diamante jumper bnwt £35), but the seller was asking £10 per item! Have a feeling they'd do better on ebay as i never really pay more than £2 for clothes at a carboot.

    Looking forward to next Sunday now because my favourite carboot starts back up =]

    Off to make banana and fudge cakes now =] hope everyone had a better day than me!

    Suze x

    I missed out today - my own fault. A stall was selling 2 Victory gold box jig-saws (vintage - no picture on front) for £1.50 each. I didn't buy them and made the mistake of checking ebay on my return home! They are selling for £20 upwards each! Oh well.

    I did, however get a gorgeous Monsoon seethrough cardigan with fur trimmings top for my granddaughter for 50p. She had £2 to spend and bought a fairytale castle (tent thing which she is going to play dens in!)

    Went to a car boot this morning, but didn't buy much, there were an awful lot of obvious traders there selling and I tend to avoid them as they charge alot!

    I got some troll dolls for DD, a pretty plate for my stash (I did want the matching serving bowls too but DH's eye-rolling and tutting made me swiftly put them back!) and a 1980's necklace that looks like a string of Smarties. Total spend £2.25

    I dont doubt that:) ive still got the opinion if its too good to be true, it probably is these days.
    but two quid for a bag, even if it is a knock off, great bargain.

    So annoying.... My OH bought me an iphone at Xmas - great for situations like this. It's more than paid for itself. :)

    Ours was very disappointing this morning - not impressed after getting up at 6am and staying in last night instead of going out for a mates birthday just so I would be up and fresh as a daisy.
    I got a lovely pair of wellies in a vintage rose print although I did have to shell out a fiver. They look good quality and are as good as new
    Got half a dozen huge free range eggs from a local home farmer stall for £1
    Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
  • Got a nice stripped cotton cardigan from Wallis for £4.25.

    Went to the first car boot of the proper season yesterday in my hometown. It was really good and so hot and sunny, times like these I love living in Cornwall!
    Anyway on the bargain front I got:

    2 brand new with tags small rugs in navy with cream coloured stripes, look really nice and will go well in our new house, £1.50 the pair.

    Monsoon loose long sleeve printed kaftan style top 50p

    Topshop broderie anglais pale blue shift dress 50p, its slightly see through though, guess I'll need a slip to wear with it.

    Dorothy Perkins grey with bright pink print knitted short sleeve jumper £1

    Tesco florence and fred green printed strappy camisole £1

    Primark shirred waist mini beach cover up dress in black with cream edging £1

    Peacocks E-vie cream and navy striped loose fit elbow length sleeve woven jumper, this is my favourite from the day and it looks like brand new! £1

    It was a great booty, even my OH enjoyed, happy bargaining! x
