Love reading about others bargins so thought I'd post some of my own.

Last week I got 6 paperback books on the Outer Hebrides - all ones I've been wanting to read for 50p each.

Today I got a Fortnum and Mason Wicker Picnic basket for £3 - do I keep it for rustic logs when we eventually get a wood burning stove or do I pack it full of goodies for a Christmas Pressie? It's quite big.

Also got what could possibly be an antique carved ivory necklace - with elephants on. I know you are not allowed to buy ivory now but if it is ivory then I think it is probably old. The beads that make up the necklace are quite small and every other one is carved with an elephant. The interspacing beads are also intrically carved. Anyway - I paid £1.99 for it.

Get it on Ebay, they make pretty good money!

    :T Well done -fab bargain!
  • 3 car boots - big box of lego for £5 (children very happy as it had a skeleton head in it!) and a Cath Kidston cup and saucer for £1. Must try harder as you lot are brilliant!

:rotfl:at the Lego skeleton head - my DS would've been well-chuffed with that too! And a great price for a big box of lego too.

Just picked up a set of business CDs with books in a charity shop for £3. I was pretty certain the set was worth a lot more, as I've sold a similar set on Amazon. Was staggered to see the lowest price was £95!! Brand new around £150.

Gosh I am so excited, waiting for my charity shop to open at 10! Popped in there yesterday and found a vintage set I wanted to buy but put it back. Came home and did some research and the set of these items goes for around £100 (or has done) on Ebay and seems to be rare too. So I am off there to buy the set for around £5 and see how it goes!
