Went to visit my mum in Bucks for a few days and trawled some CS...not really looking for anything. Ended up getting a pink knitted wool jumper (Vintage St Michael) for £2.50 and a musical score for Snow White circa 1950s for 50p!
My faves are in Buckingham and Wendover...could have bought a lot more as I saw lots of lovely china etc.
My fave in Nottingham for CS is Oxfam in Hockley/Lace market and the little one next door as it has the cutest stuff ever organised really well and is quite cheap for a CS.Married in 2016. Bought our first home in 2017. Expecting our first baby in November 2017

I'm very excited as I'm going to go to the General Sale at the local auction house next Tuesday. I don't get to go very often as it's a workday for my 'day-job'. Hopefully I'll get a few interesting bits - if not it'll be a morning 'people-watching' which is another favourite past-time of mine.
Would it be ok to post details of any finds on this thread? (as it's not a boot sale, charity shop, or jumble sale - but similar type of stuff for sale) If not, I'll just put in on my blog.
Next Saturday I'm helping out at a local jumble sale (I usually get allocated shoes & bags), so I'll be able to have a good look through before the masses arrive.
Is it a bit sad to be looking forward to these events during my annual leave?
TT

Most of my holidays from work are spent in places exactly the same - I run charity shops but they are my favourite places to be, I do auctions and I love going to them or watching them live online and I run eBay and like buying on there too
Definately add your auction bargains - I would love to see themNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550 -
Hi
I'm new to this board, but my best bargain last week was a Brora cardigan for 50p at a boot sale, they usually start at about £75 new. A tiny bit bobbly, but nothing one of those fuzz shavers can't sort out.0 -
ooh I'd like to hear about your auction finds TT, I love this thread and it's inspired me to get back into charity shopping....I'm addicted!
This is a useful website to find out what charity shops there are in towns across the UK, I'm planning a few trips out to visit some of them. HTH someone.0 -

off work today so went to the local charity shops not much there, but got a bag of 25 micro star (football figures) and one Pro Star figure for £2 from my fav shop (things are not overpriced like some). My OH enjoyed trying to guess the characters, he thinks I should just keep them up for now, was going to take them with me to my next car boot.Best wins: Brit Awards & After Show Party Tickets 2012; Samsung Galaxy Note; 32" widescreen TV; £500 National Garden Vouchers; Kindle Fire HD; £100 high-street gift card; Kindle; Diamond Necklace; BAFTA TV Awards Tickets 2015; :beer:0
