  • my best carboot bargain is a 50p aran jumper, brand new with tags that would of bein worth about £40 in the shops.
  • I got a seagrass basket - bigger than a shoe box for £2.50 and a pair of new Clarks shoes for £4- bargains!

I usually lurk on here so I am quite excited to have something to add!

My husband has nicked my bargain Jaegar checked shirt from Saturdays jumble! He already stole my other oversized shirt. I have a back-up pink silk shirt which I got in my huge bin liner for £1 at the end of the jumble. Not sure its going to suit me though - its VERY 80s. Will need some killer heels I think which is not really practical for me in the daytime
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
  • At a jumble sale on Saturday I bought a lovely black wool short sleeve Jaeger top for 20p as well as a brand new bottle of Estee Lauder Beautiful Eau de Perfume again for only 20p, which I understand sells in the shops for over £50.00.

    Hello!

    Jumble sale finds on saturday:

    Nautical peep toe platforms
    1950's hot pink raffia bag
1980's Jane Shilton chain strap bag
    Vintage enamel bird pendant
    1960's trevira fully-fashioned sweater
    Two vintage kipper ties
Vintage Windsmoor wool dress with detachable collar
    Elasticated wasp belt
Vintage Enzo Italian hand-made leather shoes
    Woven pink bed cover
    Etiquette book
  • I thought I'd add my recent finds, as I'm so made up with them.

Went to my local CS only looking for curtains, ended up with 5 CD-roms for my 5 year on reading and phonics which he's made up with, in total that lot came to 6 quid. Didn't find any curtains, but luck would have it, I found 3 sets plus extra fabric on Ebay for £15 and the seller lived close enough for me to suggest I collect them, in the end I met her in the nearby town and so save on petrol.

Another great Ebay buy was 20sqm of parquet flooring delivered for £32, can't go wrong for that price.

If the carpet fitters would get a move on, I could squeeze a trip to the CS before the school run this afternoon!!!

I only intended to pay a cheque into the bank today but managed to come back with:

    1960's Gabicci navy suede cardi
    "Foreign" late 1960's coffee set
    Vintage tab collar blouse
    1950's plaster poodle
    3 x paperbacks
    A 1970's Woolworth's shoe repair kit

I was also dithering about a tan leather slouchy bag by Autograph and despite having far too many bags decided to get it, when I checked online it's currently retailing at £79
  • Today I visited what I thought was going to be a disappointing jumble sale - but first impressions can be wrong!

In a box under a table were some lovely old china including bowls, side plates and a cake stand. Grand total £2. They were still wrapped up in carrier bags inside the box, because the organisers didn't think they would sell!

I'm quite pleased that my taste is not run-of-the-mill!

I've posted some piccies on my blog of my bargains.

WOW - your bargains are AMAZING!! have thoroughly enjoyed reading the thread. I have recently had a baby so haven't been out that much but manged to get to two chazza shops yesterday (on my way to pick up a lovely blossom farm baby gym complete with all toys from an ebay seller £5 bargain).

3 x Susan Hill paper backs (love her books not always easy to find) 75p each.
1 x next baby leggings 0-3 months 50p Mint condition.
1 x BNWT next newborn soft velour trousers marked at £1 but was charge 50p as they were 'from the basket!!'
Large balls of wool odds 20p per ball (for my charity knitting so well chuffed with that!)

More expensive charity shop 3 doors down...
    1 x 0-3 month M&S smock top absolutely beautiful £1.
1 x M&S baby jacket padded in white absolutely mint condition 50p
They had lots of lovely baby clothes but obviously priced by two different people some were SO over priced (£3 for well worn baby leggings)

My friend got a beautiful Karen Millen Coat from our local chazza for £12.50p (max he charges for a coat) it looks like it had never been worn its amazing.
Debt free May 2016 (without the support of MSE forum users that would never have been possible - thank you all)
