Hurrah!! Car boots are back!
My bargain buys. A Fossil Tan leather tote for £2. Didn't realise how expensive these bags were. Needs a clean but I have lots of leather reconditioning stuff. A similar one went for £40 on ebay. So not sure whether to keep or sell.
An Alexon shirtwaister dress 50p
Ma Griffe perfume 50p
Various merino wool cardigans/jumpers/sleeveless tank tops at 75p each. This included a Cath Kidston. An identical one sold for £26 on ebay.
I was very tempted by a dark brown genuine sheepskin for next winter. But £20? I think not!Saving money right, left and centre0 -
I did my first car boot this season as a buyer this morning, gosh it was cheap I think people must be panicking aabout a recession.
Can't go into too much detail about what I bought as it will all go through my business account on ebay, but I bought some vintage costume jewellery at £1 a piece and some small collectables that I've sold in the past for aorund £6-£8 for around £1 a go.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Went to a car boot sale a couple of weeks ago and spotted an interesting looking old Christmas card box. Inside was what looked like a card game. Seller wanted 50p, I checked that this included the game and they said yes so I bought it. Just sold the game for £42 on Ebay...turned out it was over 100 years old and quite rare!0

Hey guys, I can't remember if I've posted here before, certainly not for ages, so hi everybody! I'm a 23 yr old girl (eric was the name of my beloved hamster) hardcore bargain fanatic, can't actually remember the last time I bought something full price, dedicated to jumble, car boot and ebay, and even reduced food! Based in Cornwall, is anyone else, and got any inside info about jumbles down here? They're so hard to track down!
Car booted it up yesterday, was a beautiful day too so it was lovely, mind you my OH can't tolerate my bargain obsession too much and had to go sit in the car half way through (well I was there over an hour and a half!) probably just continue to go alone in future, anybody else find they can't find a good bargain buddy?
Anyway I got:
-A Momiji "Luckyness" doll (a kind of collectible Japanese figure) 50p, similar ones have gone for £14-£21 on ebay so will prob list it.
-2 pairs of B&Q curtain pole finials £1 for both (got a mounting pile of house/interiors stuff in the flat as we've just bought our own house and are doing it up slowly)
-Pretty green glass bottle with cork stopper £1 (dunno what I'm gonna do with this but I love coloured glass)
-4 items of plus size clothing (Next, Dorothy Perkins, M&S) for 80p, most will list but one Next top I might keep as its the kind of 70s broderie anglais style I love, and figure it might look good oversized with shorts, does anybody else just tend to grab when they say 20p an item and not look at sizes? I figure I can always try to alter or sell on ebay.
-Little white cat teddy 20p (picked this up to make the 4 20p items above up to £1)
-Pair of Wolesey cords for my mum £2
-Blue round beaded necklace on ribbon £1
-Primark grey wool coat size 10 for 50p (its got a couple of buttons missing but I'm gonna rejig them to make it look better, and I need to move one to pull it in at the waist a bit.)
-Duffer jeans size 12 50p
-Lee Stafford bling wake up call hair refresher spray, maybe 2 uses 50p
-Lee Stafford bling for brunettes glimmer serum approx 2 uses 50p
-Elle Macpherson Glow shimmer body cream, massive 475ml pot, brand new for 50p!
-Dakine gren, blue and brown small messenger bag £1
-40cm by 50cm clip frame brand new 50p
-Roxy Quiksilver brown patterned V neck jumper Size M £2
Pretty good haul, I think the sunny weather brought more people out, hope you all had as much luck at the weekend, happy bargaining! xStarted Comping 25th September 2013.
October wins :j : Chapstick Goodie Bag, Mixed Case of Kumala Wine, £10 Two Seasons Gift Voucher, Elizabeth Shaw Chocolate bar, Schwarzkopf Colour Mask, Eco Soap Sample Bundle.
