    More great finds, Penny!

I second the Sally Army for great bargains! I got BF two vintage cashmere overcoats a few weeks ago, they had a buy one get one free offer on and I paid £1.50. I've also bought him some Paul Smith brogues for £1.

Great booting today (there's photos on the blog is you want to look).
    My bargains included:
Tod's turquoise python knee high boots
    Gold high heeled Gina shoes
    Renata of Italy peep toes
TopShop shoe boots with the £55 labels still attached
two pairs of this season's H&M earrings and a TopShop pair, too.
    Monsoon yellow angora waistcoat
Two vintage navy blue leather bags
Tooled leather bag with a peacock design
    Body Shop eye serum
    Body Shop black eyeshadow
    Barry M Dazzle Dust
    Avon fake tan mousse

Very happy that all four items of footwear were my size!
The weather forecast looks good for saturday. :j

I found a new charity shop today, an independent one. Stuff very reasonably priced for the area. Friendly staff, with a lovely lady carefully wrapping my bracelet as if it cost £50 not the 50p I paid for it!
    I'm going back again tomorrow!

Some great bargains well done. Your photos are really good too - would you mind me asking what sort of camera you have as I need a new digital camera, ideally one which will take clear close-ups like your images

I LOVE your gold shoes Goanmad

Penny Farthing, your photos are fantastic. It's obvious you're a professional! Do you use an SLR?

Goanmad, would you mind sharing the price of the Tod's boots? I just can't believe people don't know the worth of the things they're selling. I know it's fab for all us bargain hunters, but I cannot imagine selling a pair of Tod's boots at a car boot sale! Actually, I can't imagine being able to afford the Tod's boots in the first place! :)
  • Hi Grammar Girl, Photography is one of my passions in life. Currently use a Canon EOS 5D SLR camera and the pics above were taken with a 24-70mm f2.8 lens.

However, JesaRose if you want to use something smaller and that doesn't weigh a ton, for your pics, the Canon G10 and or the newer G11 compacts are brilliant and they excel at close up photography. As the G11 has just come out, you might be able to snap up a G10 from someone that wants to upgrade their gear.

I paid £8 - which is a lot for me but they were just crying out for a new home! It was an elderly man selling mostly house clearance stuff.
I wore them to walk into town today (and they are unbelievably comfortable) and showed them to an acquaintance who sells shoes and they confirmed they are legit and were astounded by my bargain.

Penny - thanks for your professional camera tips.
