I have been visiting my daughter in Plumstead, London SE and on Sunday morning, we went to a carboot sale in Wrotham Fields, Kent.
My first puchase was a large wooden jewellery box choc full of vintage costume jewellery. When I sorted through the contents at home there were:
4 lady wrist watches (2 with 17 jewel movements, one of these a Rotary).
    6 faux pearl necklaces.
    10 brooches.
    7 pendant necklaces.
    3 scarf rings.
    2 diamante necklaces.
    4 pairs earrings.
    1 hallmarked 9ct gold 1980s rope bracelet.
1 boxed faux pearl and earrings set.
    The whole lot was £20.00.
My daughter bought 4 clutch bags at 50p each at the same stall .

At another stall I got more vintage costume jewellery consisting of:
    4 brooches.
    5 bracelets.
    1 ring
    1 silver-plated dress clip
plus small 1930s moleskin evening handbag, the whole lot was £5.00.

This has been one of my best hauls at the car boot sales for many years and there will be another post on more of my bargain buys.

Managed to find something that I've been looking for for simply ages. A vintage eiderdown for the grand total of £3.95, the only problem is it's bright bright orange & my bedroom isn't. So I may have to recover it. Which would be a shame as it's a gorgeous colour.
