I'm having a complete nightmare with UPS - they're driving me mad! I get the feeling I'm never going to see this iPod at this rate. They've just said the 2nd delivery attempt was unsuccessful without actually trying to deliver the bloody thing.0

that must be annoying
i ordered a 4gb 1 and its scheduled to arrive today.0 -
havnt got my ipod yet but just wondered if anyone knew how long it would run for?
can i replace the battery of an ipod nano? and how much would this cost?0 -
No. Battery replacements are not possible otherwise apple couldn't fleece people of their cash when the battery dies after 1 year of constant useLink now removed! sorry0

sorry looks like i got confused between the mini and nano (both different things now apparently??? lol)

if u were wondering why i was talking about a nano i was ment to be talking about the ipod mini which i bought,, from the link in this thread0 -
I think both the 20GB Ipod's they have , have been reduced a bit more now. Still only the same price as the 40GB ones from last week tho - £117.

Having narrowly missed out on a 40Gb one last week (put it in my basket at 9am thinking it would be ideal for my daughter's birthday this weekend but bu the time I had checked it with "the boss" at 4pm it was out of stock) I have now ordered a 20Gb one.gone for the one with the click wheel as opposed to the one without ?Hopefully i made the right choice ? (would rather have had the 40gb one though )Funkymum wrote:I think both the 20GB Ipod's they have , have been reduced a bit more now. slightly off topic but maplins have now started to sell replacement batteries here:

Please get your facts right. Battery replacements can be done by yourself very cheaply but it requires more effort then just merely replacing some AA batteries.
Ebay has lots of replacement batteries for sale cheaply and instructions for replacing them can be found freely on the net.
Apple fleece people of their cash on people like you who don't know that replacement batteries exist and also on people that did not want to replace them themselves.

UPS is one of the worse company i've come across with. They said on their first failed delivery that i was not home to sign the thing at 1030am but I was at home and in fact waiting for them to come. There was no cards left and nothing at all so they were just plain lying. I called them up and they apologize to me and said they will send the parcel to me next thing in the morning and luckily on the second attempt they did send the parcel. And i thought i was the only one affected.0
