got mine today, after 2 failed delivaries and i am in love with this piece. Never had a mp3 player or ipod, so will probably be spending my entire weekend on it.

This is the second time that I have ordered a "refurb" model and both times the delivery has been within 48 hours and both were brand new !.

Looks like they are clearing out old stock, but who cares at these prices.

does anyone know if the remaining 4gb ipods are brand new?

i might get one of those at £87 cos i missed out on the other deal but dont want 1 with bad battery life.

I see the genuine article looks to be about £20 which is a bit (lot!) over the top if you ask me !!!!

was in dixons a few weeks back they were selling them for £0.49 each or 3 for £0.99...maybe worth a look at your local store

forgot I was in asda last week and they were selling them cheap as well

Agree its possible that they are battery replaced ones but here I thought Apple were taking the models back and replacing battery and sending back out again?

The chances are these will be refurbed models, not brand new. When Apple refurb Ipods they do whatever needs doing inside and then put a new case on (front and back), and repackage them. Therefore it looks brand new.

The same happens when you take your Ipod to be repaired through an Apple store. Sometimes you won't get YOUR Ipod back, you will get a refurbed one, but they always put a new case on, which is a nice touch. All refurbs are up to factory fresh standard anyway, so its not a problem.

Still an excellent price!
