Agree its possible that they are battery replaced ones but here I thought Apple were taking the models back and replacing battery and sending back out again?
I concur. I too believe these will be new. I have a couple of friends who have bought iPods from the rufrub store, and they have all been brand new.
All will be revealed tomorrow when it arrives:j

I ordered one last night - looks to be a great bargain! Can't wait for it to get here. (Mine's not sent out yet as my billing and shipping addresses are different, so they need me to confirm them before the order is sent out).0

Cheers OP!
OH's eighteen month old 40gb died about six weeks ago and he's been listening to music through the mp3 on his mobile and grumbling about lack of choice - this will make up for it. AND it works out cheaper than the £165 out of warranty service to repair the old one. Now to work out the best value "recycling" facility for defunct ipods ....Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 002 :rotfl:0 -
Very glad this post has been so useful just been back to the site now and they have a selection of 4 gig minis for £87 perfect if you're looking for something a bit cheaper

On the Boots website just now http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1068431 you could pick up a 30GB Generation 5 IPod effectively for £170.48 (price of £219.00 less voucher £20.00 less double boots points worth £17.72 less quidco cashback of £11.00 (6.5% on the ex-VAT amount).
Obviously the one off the Apple site is cheaper and has a 40GB capacity but it could be refurbished and not new - any advantages in going for the newer model that would justify the £50 extra?0 -
They seem to have sold out of the 40 GB ones now0
