Hi Browntoa - thanks very much - have now managed to unlock the phone and won't get my parents frantically telling me that they're going to lose £15 of credit on dad's phone as his phone has decided to finally die!

Then will have to go and buy another phone for mum! :rotfl:

no, you can buy the phone and then come back to this thread and ask for a code to unlock it...

all we need is the IMEI number from the phone, this is under the battery or you type *#06# into the phone and get it, and remind us that it is locked to Orange

we will then do a unique code for you

no problem , here is a list of all the India networks and the frequencies they use

they all use the same as the UK , GSM 900/1800, so a dual band phone, an old Nokia 3310 even, will work

you only get 5 tries (or 3 on some models)
you code is

and you need to put a non orange sim in to enter it
